Honestly I love that Max played that solo lick for lick. The original solo is just so iconic that it is almost a part of the song. You don't always need to improvise a solo!!

@@bentleymusic03 they mention the year 1969 in the lyrics but that was only 7 years away from the year they wrote it so it wasn't that far away. But as the years go by, the reference to 1969 becomes more and more dated, making the "hotel california" seem a lot more magical and eternal

I have heard this solo played by many guitarists. Not sure I’ve ever heard it played so crisp and precise. It is by all accounts, flawlessly played.

All I heard from them is their original songs . The covers is just their KZread thing. They do have their own materials and albums.

I LOVE how you all had an understanding to leave the solo almost completely untouched. Like it's a perfect gem in history that can't be altered by anyone who covers it. Kudos, guys. That was easily the best cover I've seen of this song

Hotel California is one of those songs that just shouldn't be covered by anybody. That is what I thought until I watched this. Straight up magic, right down to the congas. Even the backup vocals were amazing.

Next to Have a Cigar, one of your best. Drummer was on fire and I wish you'd get him out front. Most true-to-form guitar solo I'd ever heard. Just awesome... thanks!

The keyboardist playing the organ chords with his left hand and the solo harmony part with his right hand was awesome!

I was just a chid when this came out, I was actually in California visiting visiting relatives, my aunt was talking to my mom about how good the eagles are, AND THEN BAM!!!! MY AUNT PUT THIS SONG ON, USING AN ACTUAL RECORD PLAYER, WICH SOUNDS SO MUCH BETTER IN MY OPINION,,ANY WAY IT WAS AWESOME

In awe of this. I remember playing this song as a freshman in HS over 20 years ago and have always loved it. Just an awesome cover!!!!

The Main Squeeze is a kind of "legit" group so I wouldn't be surprised if they got it cleared by the Eagles' label before doing it. Covers are legal and even monetizable with permission from the copyright holder.

The joy on Max’s face while he’s playing the iconic Walsh/Felder solos is infectious! Those epic licks are as essential to that song as the lyrics, and he brings his own soul and technique to reproducing them. 🎸🎸🎸
