@nickandmotorcycletime5246 I love it, and the community it comes with it. The gen 3 comes in hard mode lol the dash is simple. No rpm ot gear indicators kinda sucks but I'm learning. Helps me to learn to keep track of everything. Also, it being around 450+ pounds wet I get a great work out lol

@@serjiovalle5855 Thats awesome! Yeah its such a helpful supportive community its insane. Less stuff to break on those haha, you can hear when the bike wants to shift anyways. 6th Gear is all I wanted out of mine, but I think my next one I will add a 16 tooth front sprocket and see how that does at higher speeds. And yeah, I dropped mine a few times and the adrenaline from feeling dumb fueled my strength to pick it up quick haha.

I got mine for about a year ago now, and i love it so much. It’s plenty of fun especially with that low end torque is so fun! 😀 Winter is coming so sadly no more riding this year 😕

Noice!! Yeah, they are fun machines! And same here, we had snow around Halloween it sucked. They’ve salted the roads and I’m trying to decide if I can squeeze another one in before its over for another season!!

I miss my MT07 it was a really fun bike.

@@RatedRob nice man! How do you like them? I feel like those are great bikes, the MT is more short entertaining bursts I find. Which I think I’d value more from a long distance adventure bike for my goal of riding across the continent.

Sweet man! A good upgrade for sure. I'm more of a fan of the older design of the bike, I think the new headlights are a bit crazy. But regardless, a sweet bike indeed. Hope you get what your looking for, and ride safe!

Did swap the stock handlebars? If so what bars did you put on it? Looking to get some wider bars for my mt07

If you're careful and respect the bike I think you should be ok. Although it is a lot more powerful. Im putting out a video today about the MT07 as a first bike. Thanks for stopping by man! Ask me any other questions you want.

Nice video dude thanks for making it! Debating between this one and KTM Duke 790, im torn because as it seems like the MT07 is more reliable but the ktm has better tech, power and torque hm 😂

Haha that’s why I’m here man! Honestly I would go with the Yamaha. KTM is nice but the service intervals and risk or valve adjustments and stuff isn’t worth it to me just yet. Maybe later when I have lots of extra cash laying around. These engines are absolutely bulletproof.

@@marcusbengtsson501 For sure man! You should find a used MT07 and see if you even like it. Less commitment, New bikes lose 30% of there value as soon as you leave the dealership.

is it a good starter bike? I dont know much about motorcycles but i plan on learning alot more trying to buy a bike but dont know whats a good bike to start out with

I say Yes and No as a good starter bike. I know people might disagree with me. I think it is a great bike all around, but I think it has a lot more power needed as a very first bike. You can get into trouble on this bike if you wanted to, but if you respect the bike and its power (torque and ability to accidentally bring the front wheel off the ground in certain situations) I think you'd be ok. I also think its too nice of a bike to have as your first bike sometimes, I dropped my first bike and I only know people who dropped their first bike, so imagine dropping this, it would suck. I always say get an older bike for cheap to start on, even for a bit to get the initial learning process out of the way (I got a 1980 KZ550 for my first bike for $800, you can see a older video of it on this channel). But at the end of the day no one can chose your bike for you but you. It is nice getting a bike you are excited about having, riding, owning, and learning on. So I would chose the best deal $$ you can find, most likely used, and that won't be too much work for you to do on it. I don't know if thats helpful. They no longer sell them on eBay, but it is a cheap $146 one from China. Still is perfect and sounds better than any others I’ve ridden. I just had to use silicone at the joints if it to make sure it was air tight. I highly recommend cheaper ones, they last just as long and offer the same benefits. I also have mine tuned by 2 Wheel Dyno Works. Let me know if you have any other questions!

It is not. I have a full header and exhaust with a 2 wheel dyno works tune specific to it. People may judge me but its an Ebay full exhaust. It sounds the best out of all of heard (to me at least its all subjective) so I purchased it. I don't understand the reasoning behind everyone spending so much $$ on a status symbol. I’ve only had it for a year and I have put over 5000kms so far. But I also have 2 other bikes I ride.

Do you not need insurance where you live? Because 3 bikes would get expensive

Haha I do need insurance. That’s partially why I feel irresponsible, but it’s mainly because I get my insurance so cheap. I only put full coverage on the mt07, so they don’t really cost that much at all.

I get it man, I had a huge plumbing expense that made me have to sell my KLR in order to pay for it. Save some pennies and find a used one in the future man!
