Coco Palms is a nice hotel in Coco. They have a Convenience store that is open 24 hours and there is a soccer field across from it. I wrote this comment and you showed it while I was still commenting. Their food is delicious. Very friendly atmosphere.

Agreed. We've ate there and the food was great. The hotel pool is open to swim in as well while you wait for food.

Excellent video. We've visited Playas del Coco three times, and will be there again Feb in 2023. You gave some great tips that we weren't aware of. Best spot in your opinion for 1) seafood/fish 2) happy hour 3) roasted coffee beans. Thanks!

We were there in October looking at real estate while vacationing at the Planet Hollywood . We took a taxi there to see the agent there and showed us some property,but we aren’t ready to make the move.

I've never been offered to have fruit cut up at a market, but I have asked and they've cut them.

USD $2.85 for a pineapple! 30% more expensive than in the USA. Keep in mind that Costa Rica is one of the largest producers of pineapples in Latin America.

I Know escape i dont have much info its nice but in an off area not in central. so no one will see it off top i was there almost a year and found it after being there for about 5 months, the food was awful but ppl go there to drink mostly its beautiful nice and lush nothing special .....

How the prices for food?

If you head to the farmers markets and buy food that's in season, it's not bad. I buy a pineapple for around 2$. Grocery stores can vary in price, a place like Maxi Pali will have cheaper food than compared to a high end grocer like Automercado.

They have their own currency called Colon. 1000 colon is about 1.9 dollars. Almost everybody in CR will accept USD, but they'll upcharge the conversion. So a store may price something at 1000 colon but will cost you 2.1 USD(as an example). It's best to convert USD to colon at a bank then use the colon for purchases.

They'll ask around $60 USD for 30 minute, $100 for an hour/machine. That'd be negotiable.
