Y'know despite how fucked up Jon is, he's the only one who seems to remember the background characters and statement givers names. He calls them by first name, almost like he knows them.

That is an interesting observation, especially since remembering names is often used as a shorthand for caring in storytelling. However, given that this is TMA there's also the reality of some people just being good/bad with names and the whole "all seeing eye" thing to consider.

I love how you tied these two events together in a back and fourth. It feels like a flashback sequence. I feel like I could actually see this on a TMA tv show! Cutting between the two scenes was such a good decision

I absolutely love how whenever it would be appropriate for Helen to sit or lounge somewhere there's suddenly a stool there for her to do just that.

Great little detail that when Helen says "don't we, archivist?" she's positioned as if she's holding Jon in her hand

This is so well done, I especially love how the scenes arent just haphazardly stitched together, the cut when the lines match and have the same topics. A neat touch! And I love how Helen just parades around Jon too. Well done!

This is one of my favorite pieces of TMA fan work ever produced!! The way you have Helen move reminds me of Eris from the Sinbad animated movie, just constantly shifting and changing and morphing, it’s such a fantastic effect and it’s perfect for Helen! Not to mention the colors and the expressions and the way you cut between the two scenes to parallel them.. GOD just incredible work!!

I've seen a lot of animatics, but few match this one in terms of fluidity and motion. Like the shots that pan around the desk or the one where Jon spreads his arms across the table and it transitions forward to his conversation with Helen.

Only technically since they're all trapped there. Really they are all in this together where they like it or not. At this point Jon already has a supernatural power over them. He could be like Elias and "know" them into submission. But he doesn't, he doesn't like what he did and knows it was wrong.

Besides Jonathan's points (which I entirely agree with), I'd hope that if your boss was doing something intensely unethical, you'd at least try to gang up on them with your coworkers to stop it I'd hope every employee out there would do that :P Evil triumphs when good people do nothing and all that

Does kinda feel weird when they forgive Daisy for literal murder but this is where they draw the line. Maybe since Elias is in jail while Martin and Peter aren't even around everyone's resentment of the institute ends up being directed at Jon.

@@Idran jon is not evil!!! Let they that are without sin cast the first stone. I would look at all the facts and have some sympathy for someone who's been kidnapped multiple times and has been mentally, physically, and emotionally abused. Nothing that has happened has been his fault.

They needed someone to blame and took it out on Jon. Even though none of it is his fault and he was as clueless as them and got trapped there with them. Basira loves Daisy and forgives her for literal murder, but she doesn’t have that same fondness for Jon. Melanie was warned away and she didnt listen, then blamed Jon for it. The only thing Jon actually did wrong was stalking his coworkers, and even then it was possible that his budding Knowing made him feel that something is wrong but the Not-Them prevented him from realizing that the wrong thing was Sasha. I dont agree with you that they should respect him because “He IS THEIR boss”, this isnt really a normal workplace. But they really shouldn’t have took out their resentment on poor Jon, to the point that he thinks so little of himself that he’s basically suicidal (him thinking: if he successfully saves Daisy then good, if he fails and dies, oh well, that’s one less monster in the world)
