Yeah, a lot of times classic trailers don't do the movies justice. Have you seen the trailer for High Plains Drifter? It's almost awkward to watch if you know how effective the film itself is.

I love this picture, it's one of my favorite cowboy movies to watch. It was so well done and one of best all star cast of actors who became big as life stars in their own rights. The movie was inspired by the original Japanese movie The 7 Samurai's. I've seen other movies branch off but never reach the status of this great movie. I watched the modern remake. I love Denzel Washington but his no Yul Brynner .This is one of those movies that is so classic it's best to leave it alone. It was perfect in every way. But that's why directors want to remake it. Never get tired of watching it and I've seen it many , many times and I'll see many , many times more. 🥰💖💋

I saw every magnificent seven including the original Japanese movie and my favorite is The Magnificent Seven with Yul Brenner but the original Japanese movie was excellent and The Denzel Washington is also very good .The acting was fine ! But music soundtrack was not as good as the previous films.Actually the Denzel Washington portrait was much better than George Kennedy and Lee Van Cliff. versions. Actually other than the soundtrack I thought it was fine movie, I especially liked Ethan Hawkins and Vincent(can't remember his last name, he played a weird cop on TV thou,) as the Indian Tracker ! I don't see why everybody should compare the 1960's version, and the original Japanese version to this new version, they all are good in my opinion ! ! All film critics, stop being so critical and enjoy the movie !

What a great cast. The only version worth watching. Yul Brynner, Charles Bronson, Steve McQueen and Eli Wallach chewing the scenary as the bad guy. He played almost the same role in The Good The Bad And The Ugly . Clint Eastwood said later that Eli Wallach about stole the whole movie. The Magnificent Seven is a classic. And of course James Coburn was perfect in his role. But all the actors were good. A post on U Tube says that Brynner and McQueen hated each other but if they did, they were professional in the film itself.

@@jumpstreet2425 They are good actors for sure, I never said they were bad. I said the movie is bad because in my opinion it is. I think it was made to please the same audiences of Marvel movies. It has dumb jokes and cartoony characters after all. The original is much better.

me curious about the remake but honestly I like this one so much as it had a great impression on my childhood that if the remake turns out to be awesome, it wouldn't make a difference and would not replace this one deep in my heart. Yul Brynner and Steve Mcqueen..... no offense but Chris Pratt and Denzel Washington are not even close.

I think the gunslinger robot from westworld might be based on this character. The park owners might have taken inspiration from magnificent seven, that's why Yul Brynner plays both the characters...

@@apogeelord7013 That is why I posted this comment because Yul Brynner played a protagonist role in the Magnificent seven and an antagonist in Westworld.

I think they could have improved upon this trailer in 1960. They should have kept the original score, deleted the song made specifically for this trialer, and included some additional memorable scenes from the movie, and cut down on the shooting scenes in the trailer.
