The reason why Furiosa doesn't just take off sooner is because the War Rig isn't just sitting on the ground waiting to be driven at any time. They make it clear that all of the vehicles are pulled up into the Citadel and only lowered to the ground when they are needed. It takes several people to operate the wheel that raises and lowers the platform, and the War Rig is massive. Additionally, she needed the extra tanker of gas to trade with the bikers in exchange for safe passage through the canyon and for them to blow up the passage so they can't be followed. If Immortan Joe was able to follow them to the Green Place, it would have been raided. She also needed time to make sure that Immortan Joe completely trusted her so she could pull it off. She learned in Furiosa that she's better off biding her time, learning the rules of road war, making deals, and creating allegiances, before taking off. She also learned how important it was to keep the secret of the Green Place from outsiders, even her own mother wouldn't give up the information despite being tortured. So it all makes perfect sense why she waited and did things the way she did.

Only thing I didn't get was why was she so obsessed with the wives when she was there for all of 1 evening?? Like she made her whole life about saving these 5 women rather than the ones being milked etc. Very odd I thought she'd at least be mothered by a couple or something... but no she just sort of decides these 5 people who live in the most luxury in the whole wastes deserve even more luxury... whilst a whole citadel festers and suffers around her.

There is actually an incredible amount of world building and attention to detail in these films. Like how the different towns communicate with each other. You can see them using mirrors to shine light at each other. They also use flares to send messages. Maggots are used to clean wounds since they eat gangrenous flesh while leaving healthy flesh alone, and secrete a chemical that induces blood clotting and prevents wounds from bleeding out. They're also a good source of protein. It's safer to eat maggots living off of corpses than the corpses. George Miller was a doctor so he probably thought about that. The guy who calls Dementus scum for killing his men was the Octoboss so he does betray Dementus and goes rogue. Immortan Joe's other son Scrotus is the villain in the Mad Max game.

By the third movie, all cities and towns were ruined, with only settlements like Gastown, Bartertown, the Bullet Farm, and Citadel still standing.

About the blood bags: Mad Max is a post apocalyptic setting, and as such radiation is a concern. You see Nux talking about the two lumps he has in his neck as well. The War Boys are probably riddled with radiation associated cancers like leukemia and lymphoma, and as such might need the blood transfusions to keep themselves going, even if just a little bit longer.

George Miller pours his heart into each film, and I know it’s become the new marketing model to from theatre to streaming in the matter of a few weeks, but there is a HUGE distinction between seeing Mad Max on a home screen vs at a theatre.

You are misunderstanding the sand storm. Nothing that happens in that scene is as it seems. We are seeing it from Nux's perspective as he is getting adrenaline from Max's blood as well as having sprayed a drug into his mouth that makes the Warboys berserk. Also, the men on stilts are the men that have been banished from the female society where Furiosa grew up. That used to be the Green Place but the water became irradiated. Furiosa didn't give any kind of password to the woman in the tower. She merely told them who she is and who her mother was.

Thunderdome had some behind the scenes issues. George Miller almost didn't direct the film since his friend and co-creator of Mad Max died. George recommended someone else to direct the film. George did end up directing part of the film but he was a lot less involved. The studio had more control, that's why Thunderdome was PG-13 and a lot more kid friendly. The studio wanted to appeal to a broader audience. Master is valuable because he set up the power generator system in Bartertown. Also, the gyro captain in Thunderdome is actually a different character than the gyro captain in Road Warrior even though they're played by the same actor.

Here’s a cool fact. When filming Toecutter’s death, the owner of the truck that hits him told the producers he didn’t want any damage to his truck. To combat this, a metal sheet was installed just behind the truck’s grill guard. Look closely at the truck’s front end when it hits Toecutter. You can see the headlights & other details are painted on. I’ve seen the first Mad Max so many times & never noticed that until someone in another video pointed it out.
