The Macaws - RAF Aerobatics - 1972
I recently ( 2018) bought some 8mm Cine films off eBay & this was amongst them.
It shows the 1972 RAF College of Air Warfare ( Manby ) Team "The Macaws" performing some of their routine. It's noce to see 2 of them inverted around 3:30 ….. I didn't realize that a JP Team did this. ( obviously the Gemini Pair did it, but there's "only" 1 inverted )
The Team members are :- Flt Lts Brian Hoskins, Anthony Blyth, K. Walters & Pete Diggance.
Other films include :-Linton Blades ( 1972) , The Blue Chips (1972), The Macaws, The Poachers , The Red Arrows & The Red Pelicans.
Unfortunately the films are without sound.

This was fantastic. My brother, Denis, now a retired Wing Commander, managed the Macaws and I stayed with him and his family at Manby in 1973, aged eight. Happy days!
My father Frank Redmond was a member in 73. Flight Lieutenant. Awesome footage. I was also eight in 73. Small world.
My Father in law Jim Adams was in the Macaws at RAF Manby. He flew with some of the guys in the video in the Macaws.
