Sheek has NEVER been wack, but him admitting he just wasn't around as much is probably the single biggest reason Sheek's so underrated. I've always felt he was the heart of The Lox. Styles and Jada have immense chemistry, but they're still just Styles and Jada. There's no LOX without Sheek.

The mentality of the old school emcees is so different than the bulk of today's artist. It was all about aknowleging who paved the road for you and how you're going to do the same for the ones coming up behind yourself. All about respecting the craft. There's not enough of that anymore

Yea man. It’s always been about the culture, only up until the past 6 or 7 years has it been like wtf is going on haha. The 90s and the 2000s eras brought the street culture into the industry but crossed over enough to make a career. That’s why their mentality is like that. Clout comes later, it’s about the passion and love for the culture first.

How could the love ever be the same after that?

I’m so glad Sheek didn’t make it on “we gone make it”. And it’s really no knock on Sheek. That record is arguably the greatest synergy/back and forth record between two different emcees. Jada and Styles chemistry knocked it out the park. Track wouldn’t have felt the same with ANYBODY on it as a third wheel

Shout out and qudos to GQ...took yall too long to pay attention to this legendary group--my personal favorite group,...FADER,...COMPLEX I could have seen doing something like this but I guess Versus made yall tap some writers to develop this idea to interview them in this fashion, not just on paper because it would have been hard to capture and just a small write up. Good job and good concept to talk about the ICONIC songs in their catalog AND their mixtape influence. SALUTE!

Wow that's nutz!! The in/out flow is 2 different sets of vocals! I always thought they literally did the verses together.

It wouldn't surprise me if some sessions they did do together. But usually for joints like that you want a solid vocal sample of both to put together later on. So the master track sounds consistent.

@@Lord_Bibulous True because Kiss said sometimes they needed two mics. Implying they laid some verses together.
