They should make a NEX version of Hummingbird and a corresponding Neos fusion like Marine Neos, so we would get Air Neos back in some form.

I've always felt that the NEX Neo-Spacians were one of those instances where the anime ran into a conflict with the real life game, in a similar way to how characters in GX stopped using Pot of Greed, or Judai stops using his Mirage of Nightmare combo once those cards were banned. Grand Mole was good enough in the real world that it ended up being limited, which meant that a NEX Grand Mole would have been impossible to summon the intended way, since its name is always treated as Grand Mole. That would've forced Konami to either make Grand Mole the only one who doesn't have the name condition, or create a special rule to explain to players what happens if a main deck and extra deck card on the banlist have the same name as each other. It's also probably why we've never seen them try revisiting the concept with a game original deck like they've done for other anime card concepts, just to avoid the headache. It took them until 2022 to make Shari Red as a more practical version of the Harpie Lady name changing, after all. Strangely it's not even the first time this has happened to Judai, since there's also Elemental HERO Neo Bubbleman which can't be summoned properly because of the banlist as well. Maybe that similarity of NEX to Metamorphosis was intentional?

The NEX Fusion mechanic was just done vastly better with Masked Heroes. More generic in monster needed, doesn't compete for 3 of a card limit, can flex between them, way easier to search for "fusion" card in deck and better effects through its best ones. Which relates to Neo-Spacians real reason for never reaching its potential, they are at best a side piece when it comes to Jaden support with anything relating to their fusion mechanics instantly going to Rainbow or Yubel and anything truly good for any of the monsters mainly being Dolphin for his anti-hand trap abilities. Heroes are just way more beloved and much more flexible without new cards leading to super brick city. Neo-Spacian support needs to be very compact/straight up replace old cards (so probably just retrains or new fusions) to even be useful and not hurt the deck in too many bricks. INB4 they save them by giving them a connection to Yubel deck and giving them super poly fusions and gentle darkness boosts.

Oh yeah, Mask Change. Didn’t think of it cause it’s put together with HERO’s in general. But dang that makes it hurt even more that the NEX Fusions couldn’t be summoned generically. 😔

They could just make a replacement for NEX itself too. Something like this: NEX Change Quick-Play Spell Tribute one "Neo-Spacian" monster you control, and Special Summon one "Neo-Spacian" monster of the same Attribute from your Extra Deck. (This is treated as a Special Summon with NEX.) Then any new ones they make (or any retrains of the existing two) wouldn't need that "this card's name is also" text.

2:43 noooooo they don’t make them more playable. It just means more bricks in your hand. This is something that I’ve learned the hard way if they given this much support to do what is essentially a simple tribute and special summon then they might as well be all contained in one card. Which they did with connector.

Apparently, there something going on with Elemental heroes Air Neos. It never got a reprint and in a relatively new NEO-SPACIAN support called "Instant Contact" that came out this decade featuring all the NEOS fusion EXCEPT Air Neos. Weird thing is Instant contact artwork came DIRECTLY from season 4 intro to GX which showed AIR Neos.

If Tristan Battlegaurd is getting support why not Neo-Spacians but they most likely get retrains instead. I would appreciate if Neos fusions got a more gladiator style as you get benefits both before and after the contact fusions. I think E Hero Neos needs to have a spell or trap similar to Eternal Soul for a more H Neos focus deck.

I like to think like with some classic cards getting more support or becoming more of an actual Archetype that the same will happen to the Neo Spacians someday, would love to see a Fusion Deck of them that doesn’t necessarily need E Hero Neos or have the Neo-Spacians have more Fusions with other Hero cards :)

Yeah, honestly it’d be really interesting to reinvent the NEX mechanic. Like, say rather than focusing on a Level 4 monster, they do level 7 for an ultimate version of them each.

I think about the funny thing about Glow Moss from the anime is that Judai manage to gave it to his opponent in order to deck them out and also one of the few Yugioh monsters that defeated an Egyptian God Card in battle.

I would rework Flare Scarab's effect to give it a once per turn effect to gain 200 atk for each spell/trap card you control, then give it an effect to negate a spell/trap card effect by reducing its atk by 1000, but destroying itself if its atk becomes 0.

Neos has become my favorite card in the game, although my favorite Neo Spacian is flare scarab. It's a pity that scarab's effect it terrible. Flare Neos has some OTK potential but flare scarab though.....not so much.

No shot that they do. The mechanic is so bad they want to forget about it. Neos decks don't need more bricks. I think Neo-Spacian retrains would be more interesting as long as they are not treated as the original in the deck

I'm sad 2024 is GX 20th anniversary & Arc V 10th anniversary but we're still getting nothing but DM legacy support XD They're suppose to be getting anniversary Structure Decks like the Utopia & Jack Atlas ones but guess not =.=

Neo-Spacians really are one of the worst archetypes of GX -- and GX has Cloudians! Here's another problem with NEX: The NEX Neo-Spacians have the same name as their originals. That's not an effect, it's a name condition. Between Aqua and Marine Dolphin, or Glow and Twinkle Moss, you can only have three *total*. Even if you wanted to summon Marine Dolphin, you would only be able to run two Aqua Dolphin and one Marine.

Call me crazy but I want more NEX fusions with better effects since they can be cheated out so hilariously easily now thanks to instant contact

as a gx fanboy it hurts how mistreated the anime cards to real life treatment got around the time and very little real life support because around this time konami definitely was into investing into the real life card game gravy train thousand dollar dad decks or half as much gladiator beasts and then later other stuff etc etc as so many cards in gx and 5ds got nerfed and or never expanded on with at best some cards gets mediocre legacy support later…i’m still waiting for iron chains to get more cards one day…

NEX was a concept so bad even the anime dropped it.
