As bad as they are, I love those old and ridiculous normal monsters. Them existing just added so much flavor to the game. One of my favorites was "Flying Fish". Do you have one?

Well, seeing as Konami is slowly turning random, older cards into full blown Archetypes (Hungry Burger into Nouvelles being 1 of my ABSOLUTE favorites) maybe Shapesnatch will receive the same treatment one day soon! 🤞

I always loved the old normal monsters. They may not have been the most powerful cards, BUT THE FLAVOR TEXT WAS AWESOME. I always wondered why Green Phantom King and Queen of Autumn Leaves didn't get their own archetype based on the seasons. There isn't even a version for the two other seasons and it's a real letdown. Fairy's Gift is pretty cool too. Just a lil' fairy that flies around bringing happiness to others, like it's Santa or something. The Wattail Dragon's flavor text basically says "Lose 2500 life points for killing me." BUT IN A COOL WAY! And even though there's no flavor text for it, The Hungry Burger is pretty cool. It's food that eats you! It really should have had flavor text.

Oh man, making a deck out of Green Phantom King and Queen of Autumn Leaves sounds like such a good idea! Every time new cards get released that are retrains of really obscure old cards, it gets me excited to see what we get next. There’s a chance!

@@GatorEXYGO I hope so! I'm thinking Green Phantom King is Summer. The flavor text says he's youthful, and he looks like he's somewhere in his late teens or early 20's. So a Spring version would naturally look like a child, since Spring is when nature is basically reborn. A winter version would thus look elderly. A field spell for the archetype could be a forest split evenly between the four seasons, with four different effects and only one of them could be used each turn: Spring resurrects a monster from the graveyard, summer could increase a monster's attack, Autumn could reduce a monster's attack, and winter could destroy a monster. In the true spirit of each corresponding season. :D

I really like souleater which is a earth fish for some reason that feeds on souls 💀

i vaguely remember owning a copy of that card no clue where it went, but everything about it is weird. it just kind of existed.

I would love a Shapesnatch Effect Monster. Let’s bring back Dark Machine as a deck with new Shapesnatch as the busted card 😂

i heard in japan they have their own equivalent of shapesnatch which is morinphen. they memed it to have its own card sleeves

Although it never got an English release, "Graveyard and the Hand of Invitation" looks REALLY COOL. I haven't seen anything about what the writing on the tombstone says though. The top part says "From J17:" in Dutch. Not at all sure what the writing below it says though. No idea what the significance of "J17" is.

i think the easiest way for them to make this a new archetype would be for the monsters in question to be other forgotten dogwater normal monsters possessed by the bowtie

Skull Servant is iconic because it was the card from the very first set in Japan, set which also had no effect monsters asside from maybe one or two.

I had no idea Rata was the first to come up with the "morbed all over those guys" line.

In the Duelist Kingdom arc, Yugi should have summoned Shapesnatch and used it to control the Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon

That random vanilla 2⭐️ monster of a dinosaur biting another got a revamp, it's time Konami acknowledge the meme that is Shapesnatch!

Gator clearly doesn't know how to use shapesnatch's special effects. If he did he wouldn't talk bad about him anymore 💀
