when legends collide

I was a part of the search for Go for a Punch/Saki Sanobashi. OP was absolutely lying, but I'm actually 90% convinced they based their story off of a scene from the anime Nichijou. There's this part where a couple girls get trapped in an elevator, wax philosophical about life, and then one goes nuts and starts banging her head into the floor. It's a comedy show, so obviously, there's no gore, but the entire thing is a dead-ringer for Saki. Nichijou and another, similar show, Yotsuba&!, were/are extremely popular with 4channers, too. That being said...the existence of an actual SS/GfaP would not surprise me one bit. I'm a huge horror/guro fan, and the search was more an excuse to dig through old archieves for me. We uncovered so much weird and obscure media in those short months, some of which probably hadn't been seen by those in the West for years, if ever ("Lady in the Sea of Blood," anyone?). Trust me, "Saki" doesn't hold a candle to some of the crap out there.

Fun fact about the crack master: the reason as to why Sesame Street never released the short even to this day isn’t because of some creepy urban legend or some creepy theory many have said. THE REAL REASON is the term of “crack monkey,” they didn’t realize the actual meaning at that time and once they eventually found out the meaning, well I’m sure you can guess, but yeah, the term was the real reason as to why they probably will never release it officially. Also the 4Chan alien picture was debunked and scaretheater talked about this as well, an op of the picture took advantage of the server maintenance that happened around that time just to mess around with people, that’s pretty much it.

I was there when the alien pic thing happened. It was one of the coolest memories being present during something so wild.

About the "babushka" lady, she is most certainly not Russian, as headscarves were popular fashion in the 50s-70s.

The "Chris Chan Black Tape" is one of those things I have on my list of "Things I don't want to listen to" because honestly listening to Chris crying is just fucked up.

The part about "O Parádivé Sally" is actually a Czech cartoon and its name would be translated to "Fancy Sally" I never personally seen it and it looks like it is quite old but i recognized a lot of style that Czech did in past when it came to the cartoons, as often even cartoons for kids would have uncanny types of characters in them at times as well as be quite dark in terms of stories. ( unless it would be genuinely made for positive vibes of course )

A portion of lost media is just people misremembering something or thinking a piece of media actually exists. But hey we won't know until we find it.

Okay so I remember the whole Grifter thing. It was a meme on 4chan where the joke was that if someone brought it up, everyone would pretend that they'd seen it. So someone would think it was real and they'd get a bunch of people responding like "jesus christ I wish I could unsee that, especially the part with the (insert random horrific thing)". There was never any "official" description, it was just a meme for people to troll newbies to the site into thinking it existed.

I remember seeing a bunch of fake shock videos as well listed in old “Top 10 things you should never google” that sounded impossible to happen such as 3 Orangutans 1 Blender, 5 girls 1 dead guy, and Green ball. They of course are confirmed fake but the nightmares were real.

I think people started calling ‘Go For a Punch’ ‘Saki Sanobashi’ because people were trying to figure out the Japanese Title and that’s what commonly came up

It's so insane to me that people are so obsessed with Saki Sanobashi... but not the REAL anime "Midori" or "Shoujo Tsubaki". You know... the one so upsetting and its content so horrible that it's got a entire world wide ban, copies of it get destroyed every single time they show up at the Japanese airport, was originally screened in tents beside graveyards during certain holidays where there would be smoke and people in costume jumping at the audience and was made by one single person because literally nobody else wanted to make it?? But because Shoji Tsubaki is not "lost media" just "you need to know where to look" media... people ignore the fact that somethign MUCH worse than Saki Sanobashi actually exists. And ironically, is a LOT worse than anything described in Saki Sanobashi, which from its description is rather tame compared to other guro titles. Also don't watch Shoujo Tsubaki. You won't get anything from it but misery without a point. Everything around it is more interesting than the anime itself.

On the 4 chan alien photo, theres a scare theatre video on the subject. Im conflicted on your dating of the image since scare theatre’s date sets the image onto January not February. And looking back at the comments they do refer to the alien within the photo as yellow with scales. I believe that the photo got debunked as a fake but I couldn’t be too sure.

I probably missed some information while digging for it, some accounts said it was reptillian, and some didn’t specify. The most confusing part for researching it was that there’s actually more than alien picture; albeit they’re both drastically different. Scare Theater undoubtedly has the right information on it though, he’s super professional lol.

If there was another recording of JFK, I would be shocked if it somehow survived. Due to the general chaos surrounding a presidential assassination, the investigation was very messy and important evidence was mishandled or straight up lost.

During the part on polybius, when mentioning the company's name "Sinneslochen" you mention that it translates to "The mind eraser" in swedish, that is incorrect (if it had been in swedish the name would've been "Sinnessuddaren") . the way the company's name is spelt is in german (which you got correct) is spelt similarly to the swedish word "Sinneslös/Sinneslöst" so easy mistake i guess. (Just felt like writing this since i'm swedish myself.)

Recently having my own crazy Mandela Effect as I tried to make a costume of Dr. Elle Sattler from the first Jurassic Park movie and was like "well I don't have to buy a tank top because I already have a plain white one". Looked up pictures and was so confused to see that her tank top was not white but blue. I literally can't picture her in my mind with a blue tank top rather than white. So if anyone has experienced the same thing please let me know... it's been driving me crazy. 💀

I just call it astral traveling to another consciousness. Easier than going through every single nook and cranny for the differences, the trick is not to call attention to it and just go about your day. The more attention you draw to it the more real it becomes, don't pay attention to it, much like an SCP, but always watch them angels cry, they'll get you if you don't. Probably preaching to the choir here but I'm into things like that little elements of horror in just everyday life. I got into this well after my days of discovering my ancestry and blood. I am Pagan/Spiritual and also a firm believer in science and love technology as well. I also smoke medical weed for my physical pains like head splitting migraines that light and the tiniest sound causes waves of pain for me, but it also helps with my mental troubles as well, it also helps me spiritually with decoding the universe. I took philosophy and Debate in High School as well as Music Appreciation, Gothic Literature as electives. The one day this Mandela guy up and dies or maybe disappears. One dying in the 80's from dysentery and in a sort of prison and the other in 2014 from a heart attack attributed to old age. Which one was the real Mandela? Both, and both as both alive and dead at the same time. It is a Schrödinger situation.
