The Lost Boys 1987 Filming Locations - Then and NOW 4K

Today we're in Santa Cruz checking out all of the Lost Boys Filming Locations for the 36th Anniversary!
The Lost Boys is a 1987 American teen comedy horror film directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Corey Feldman, Dianne Wiest, Edward Herrmann, Alex Winter, Jamison Newlander, and Barnard Hughes. The film is about two Arizonan brothers who move to California and end up fighting a gang of teenage vampires. The majority of the film was shot in the city of Santa Cruz, California, and the surrounding Santa Cruz Mountains. The amusement park scenes were filmed at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The interior of the house was all shot on sets built on Stage 15 at Warner Brother's Studios in Burbank, California. At the end of the boardwalk there is a very small railroad bridge. A lot of Lost Boys fans believe this to be the bridge that they hang off of in the film but that is incorrect. The bridge they actually used is over 300 miles away in the city of Valencia, California. Just off of the 5 Freeway at Magic Mountain Parkway and only a few hundred feet away from the exit stands the old railroad bridge.

I remember that movie. I didn't realize it was that old! You did a FANtastic job of matching up the present, with the actual, filming locations. *I imagine that requires a lot of time and effort. Thank goodness that the carousel, and some other things haven't changed, all these years later. That was really entertaining, and interesting, Nick. Thank you for refreshing our memories. After all, we're in October. 👏🏻👏🏻🎃😱🧛‍♂️🧛‍♀️🧛

the whole area where they rode down the steps at the boardwalk was extended outwards, the original steps started at the pillars, not several meters away. i guessing this was to accommodate new sitting areas? great work
