I wonder if it was just a case of Kingbling and Federico's styles being too different so the combination of the themes together didn't mesh in the best possible ways. I'm trying to think of how often there was a classic Federico "the low brain troll turned out to be the actual troll". Obviously that happened in the case of the Z with the Thwomp and letting the star run out. I'm probably missing some just because Carl might not've run into them. On the Kingbling side of things we got to see his style, obviously having a nightmode level troll and jank with items/power ups behaving weird. Having the hints after getting trolled seems classic kingbling (although I suppose Federico will do that as well). And of course we had the King bling anti.

Not one but TWO legends in one troll? We’re getting double the Carl laughs this time for sure

I remember when Panga cheesed the part at 17:10 by getting out of the bottom shell, throwing the top shell up and using the bottom shell to get to the top, allowing him to have a shell for the rest of it. That may have been one of the things to fix.

Love when the only way to fall for the troll is doing some extreme overthinking and yet thats the frist thing that Carl does

15:45 while it's not _always_ single celled, there's a particular fungus called slime mold that has a single celled phase where all of its cells meld into one giant cell as it hunts for food like some sort of macroscopic amoeba and semi-related, muscle cells span the entire length of your muscle from end to end, leading to some truly massive cells

This was the first Carl stream I've watched live in a VERY long time... so much fun. And you know troll makers are legendary when they can dismiss or be unhappy with a level this solid and hilarious!

Carl's talk on spoilers at 17:51 is something that I vibe with very hard. Sometimes I do mess up and can't contain myself, but I do my best to be careful. like to experience things as spoiler free as possible, so I usually don't want help unless I specifically ask for it

I was wondering if Carl would ever get around to playing that KingBling level! I played it myself years ago around the time it was first released, so I remember pretty much all of the trolls. It was really satisfying to watch Carl play a level where I could tell in advance what was going to get him for a change! X3

The moment Carl said "I'm not Z-ing before the star wears off," I knew what the troll was.

Our lesson today, as it often is, is that Dan's got the most wholesome laugh.

Started playing KingBling levels before I found this channel (sorry :( ) and anytime I see his name mentioned, I automatically think of his anti-softlocks, which just stunned me at the time as being wholly unique and just hilarious. His evolutions on the formula he invented still get me -- even if you know what's going to ultimately happen -- in this case it was the galoomba that did it for me (obscures what actually takes out the threat -- not as overt as the rest of the trolls but still pretty cute). Man, I really miss his trolls, but I'm glad he came back for a collab. As far as I know, he's mostly just doing Let's Plays these days, but despite the potentially fringe appeal of it all, I found him to be one of my favorite troll level creators from the first level of his I played.

I blinked at 6:34 and missed how cute but ominous the nyoom troll was, so I watched it three times. 🤗

Oh wow, I only knew Kingbling from some of his videos like adofai and rhythm doctor, I didn't know he made mario maker troll levels and that carl is playing them, small world! pretty cool seeing how different sides of the internet connect sometimes. thinking about it, it reminds me when dan salvato made a mario maker level and carl was playing that one too, it's just so cool how it works out like that

Unironically though, (major spoilers for the level after Federico's level) that castle level for Dashie was actually really good until Bowser.

The largest single-celled microbe is (to my knowledge) the stentor coeruleus which is visible to the naked eye, but the largest single-celled organism is a seaweed caulerpa taxifolia, with fronds reaching more than 80cm (31in) in length. The stentor's regeneration ability is insane. If you cut a stentor in half, you get two stentors. If you cut a stentor in a dozen pieces, you get a dozen stentors. As long as each piece has a sufficiently large piece of the macro-nucleus, it can regenerate its entire body. People have minced stentors into several dozen pieces and, you guessed it, they got almost that many smaller stentors.

This gives MM1 vibes too!
