The Jackson family is an American family of musicians and entertainers from Gary, Indiana. Many of the children of Joseph Walter (or Joe) and Katherine Esther Jackson were successful musicians, notably the brothers that formed the Motown boy band the Jackson 5 (later known as the Jacksons). Several of the siblings also had successful solo careers. Joe worked as their manager. The Jackson family, both as a musical group and as solo artists, have achieved success in the field of popular music from the late 1960s and onward. They are sometimes called the "First Family of Soul" (a title first bestowed on the Five Stairsteps), the "Imperial Family of Pop", or the "Royal Family of Pop", especially following the success of Michael and Janet Jackson, the former of whom is frequently dubbed the "King of Pop".
The Jackson 5 originally consisted of Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael. In 1975, Randy replaced Jermaine. Michael and Janet are regarded as the most popular members of the family, as both of them have had highly distinguished solo careers and are often hailed as two of the most influential pop and R&B artists in history. All nine of the Jackson siblings have gold records to their credits with La Toya holding the distinction of being the first Jackson sister to attain one (awarded by the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique for "Reggae Night", which she co-wrote for Jimmy Cliff). Janet is the first black female to receive the Billboard Icon Award.
The Jacksons are one of the most influential families in music history. In 1997, the Jackson 5 was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Michael was inducted as a solo artist in 2001, making him one of the few who have been inducted twice. Joining her brothers, Janet was inducted in 2019. Michael, Janet, and the Jacksons were awarded stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1980, 1984 and 1990, respectively. In 2009, a television series entitled The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty premiered on A&E, documenting the Jackson brothers dealing with the sudden loss of Michael and preparing for a Jackson 5 reunion tour.
Brandon David Jackson is the twin brother of Marlon David Jackson and brother of Rebbie, Jackie, Tito, Jermanine, Marlon, Michael, Randy, LaToya, and Janet Jackson. He is interred at Fern Oaks Cemetery in Griffith Indiana.

Marlon’s twin brother. I heard him mention it at MJ’s funeral in 2009 when he said, “I would like for you to give our brother,my twin brother Brandon a hug for me” before he started crying. May he and MJ continue to rest in eternal peace.

Thank you, Scott. I’m thinking that when Brandon passed, the Jacksons were very poor. Later on, when they rose to fame and had money, it’s possible that the family didn’t want anyone to know where he was buried because some crazy wacko might steal his body. Maybe they could move him to a more secure place now and give him a stone, if that’s what they were worried about. There are 8 Jackson children still living; surely they could do something.

There a video of Marlon a few years back and he said he didn't know where Brandon was buried and he was looking for his grave. You guys may have found him first. Also if you read Joe's book (it's in German, but there are translations available) he said they didn't like to talk or think about Brandon because it was too painful. People process death differently.

@@cherylnelson3554This was Marlon’s twin who died 66 years ago with 24 hrs of his mother given birth to them ,so he was a newborn. Obviously the cared, since she and Joe had him buried, but had know money then, for markers.seemed to not know any longer where he was buried. The only ones who may have any memory of it would have been Joe and Katherine as the kids were young then 3 of their kids Micheal,Randy and Janet had not been born yet. It has been said Marlin tried looking for his twin grave but could not find it a few years back. But fans knew about him ,Kate plenty of times said Marlon had a twin name Brandon ,it was said by the brothers, written in books ,magazines . Also during Micheal’s funeral during talking about Micheal who was like his twin being he was just a year older then him while in tears told Micheal to look out or for for Brandon. I do not know if even Kate was there when Brandon was buried since she had lost him 24 hours later after giving birth to Brandon and Marlon . And yes twins run I the family as their older brother had twin boys .

You people need to stop and so do this so called blogger,it was said Marlon looked for his grave and could not find it,another blogger months ago head this and found it although I do nit know if he git this info Marlon. He has had health issues, some say it was a bad stroke and yes this has taken him out of performing with his brothers as one of his brothers son filed in for him. And yes they we’re poor back in 57,may have marked it but somehow it got removed . But over the years as long as I can remember and I am 63years old ,was about 9 when I heard them, became a fan mentioned Brandon ,their mother in interviews in magazines mentioned him ,mentioned him when going from the oldest to the youngest him along with Marlon his twin. Marlon older siblings were grade school age then ,2 maybe was not in school yet or was in Kindergarten, first grade, three under Marlon and Brandon were not even born .Even Marlon at Micheal’s funeral mentioned him while in tear, told Micheal to give him a hug.

My daughter and I were at the Jackson house in Gary on her birthday in July 2022. While there, Tito pulled up! There was only us and one other person, so Tito stayed to chat. I asked him about the house and the kids. I knew Marlon had had a twin, but I wasn’t sure if he ever made it home at all. I asked Tito if all 10 kids lived in the house. He told me only nine, because his brother, Brandon never made it home. He shared some really great stories when I asked him about stuff. It was a nice visit. I always loved MJ and Janet, so when Tito posted my daughter and me on his page and the Jackson page, it was pretty fun. Janet ❤️it and commenting was very cool! My daughter has some of it on her KZread channel! All that being said, it hurts my heart that little baby is laid to rest all alone and unidentified!! 💔💔

Wow, I never knew that Marlon had a twin. This is terribly sad that Michael practically has a shrine and baby Brandon has nothing. Doesn't make sense. Unless after the Jackson's got famous they were worried about tourists. I still think this baby needs a stone. I have always felt that anyone that exists needs a marker when they die. Their life was important too. Boy this is sad. I will tell you right here and now for the world to see that I would consider it an honor to purchase a stone for this little guy. That's an offer, not a statement. Steve, your son is so special to leave Brandon his trucks. What a sweet kid with a great heart. Man, I just want to cry. Please let's get a stone for this baby. I will do it myself. How do I make sure the cemetery will let me since he still has immediate family around? Now this will eat at me until something is done. RIP little guy. Yeah, that's not right. The whole thing is a little bit baffling to tell you the truth. Not only is that little guy a member of an iconic American family, but he's also obviously a fellow American. We mark our dead with headstones that includes a name, born and died info, and sometimes an epitaph. It's just what we do in the West. Whether its a small headstone or a big elaborate and expensive sarcophagus, we mark the graves and I can't think of anybody that I know right now, who would be ok without one. I can't believe the family does nothing about it. How is he going to Rest in Peace? That poor dude got shafted so if I can help in any way, even a bit financially, let me know.

I can also understand that they were afraid of vandalism etc. after the boys became famous, but Jackson is not an uncommon name, and nobody would've known that little Brandon is even related to THE Jacksons. Their mother memory may no longer be there or she was not there being she had just gave birth and yes families then did not want to upset them in any way after giving birth ,allow them to go to funerals, allow them out so soon after giving birth. Her mother may have handled all arrangements for Brandon to be laid to rest, which is why also she may have know memory of exactly where he was buried although she always mentioned him when talking about her kids in interviews and so have the others. .

She was still having to take care of his surviving twin Marlon and back then mothers many would not allow do go out and about ,you kept you and your baby in the house for weeks, did nit allow many around the newborn. So her mother and other family members may have handled the arrangements. The other kids were way to young to know where being the oldest then would have been ,Rebbie at 7yrs old. The youngest 3 were not even even born yet and I say all this so people can get Marlon looked for his twin grave and of course he would have asked his mother and siblings,Joe we all know passed years ago,all who were alive in their family back then are gone. But with or without headstone they then could not afford we all knew Brandon his name because they mentioned it especially their mother in interviews.

I had no idea that Marlon had a twin until the day of MJ's funeral. When the brothers got on stage and Marlon said to Michael, I'm paraphrasing here but he did say something to the effect of "Tell our brother, my twin Brandon, hello for me and that we love him". I think personally, and this is just my opinion, that Marlon feels like somethings missing from his life and that he's always felt the absence of Brandon, and he may possibly feel a bit of survivors guilt because he got to live and Brandon didn't... it's all so very very sad 😢. RIP Brandon D. Jackson, may your spirit and your love fly high and live on in the hearts of those who love you so much ♥

Hey scott love your videos. I know youre a busy man but if you ever have the time i was wondering if you could do a video on the news reporter and cameraman that were murdered on live TV in Virginia. I went to high school with the camera man (Adam ward) we were friends and it was heartbreaking hearing about what happened to him and that poor girl. Being such a small town it rocked the whole community. Considering things like that dont normally happen around here. Again thanks for all the coverage and videos you do. All love ❤.

Who said he was unloved or proved that ,he passed within 24 hours of his mother giving birth to him and Marlon .She often over the years talked about him ,which is why we knew his name was Brandon, and she lost him shortly after his birth in 57. Many were too poor to get headstones but would use Rocks or whatever to mark a grave and more then likely Brandon’s got moved someone decades ago. In interviews and magazines, books he was mentioned despite how short the amount of time he was here,by his mother, siblings.and being brought up Marlon had a twin named Brandon.

Your buddy's words about every child should have a headstone to show they were here in this world, flicked my emotional switch on. And the two trucks because "he needs two to play with". That was so f'n sweet, dude. But yeah..total shocker the Jackson family hasn't put a headstone there. How sad they have forgot about one of their own.

@@emilystevens6335 There is a reason for it. It took my Aunt 30 years to finally get a headstone for my cousin, because she couldn't accept that he was gone. Getting the headstone would mean he was gone and she wasn't ready to accept that. My cousins out of respect chose not to get the headstone behind her back. They waited for her to be ready. You think my Aunt is the only mother out here that may have that same problem? That could be what the Jackson kids are doing right now. Brandon has not been forgotten. We dont know what the family does for him. People act like they've never spoken of him and they have. Marlon, his twin, speaks about him the most
