Did anyone notice who the Old Timer was sitting in wash tub taking a bath? It was William Fawcett. Pete from the old series 'Fury' as well as many more westerns. One of the true Legion of Old Timers.

I've always loved the expression on Jay's face at 20:39.

Did you recognize the actor who played Bob Kittredge? They didn't give him credit at the end of the reel. It was Deforest Kelly, who played Doctor McCoy from the original Star Trek series in the late 1960's.

Clayton Moore and DeForest Kelley both died in the same year - 1999.

Poor Bandy (or whatever his name is)! Of course as old an feeble as he seems to be, the ranch was probably going down anyhow. On the other hand, if my foreman said he just got held up and some COMPLETE STRANGER said he saw him bury the stolen money behind my barn, I think my first question to the complete stranger would be, "Who The Hell Are You?" And my next question would be, "What Were You Doing Behind My Barn?"

Hey, PizzaFlix, have you noticed that the credits are wrong for this episode? .... and probably all of them. Me being a Star Trek fan noticed Deforest Kelley right away, but when looking for him in the credits, he's a no-show. Then I found that his character: Bob Kittredege WAS credited to him... I never noticed that his mask was changed to a over the nose.

The credits to this were from The Tenderfeet not The Legion of Old Timers

Does anyone know the title of the classical music piece played during what was the awkward indoor fist fight between the Ranger and the bad guy outlaw? It was used quite a few times during the early B/W episodes of the series. I always found the early episodes far more interesting than when the series went color, speaking for myself. ♐

Around 14:56, an old guy rides off to round up his "old timer" pals. The Lone Ranger then names the group the Legion of Old Timers while talking solely to Tonto. Around 19:00, the Lone Ranger asks the bad guy "Ever hear of the Legion of Old Timers?" How would anyone (except Tonto) ever hear of such a group? I first saw this episode when I was about 10 and that question stayed with me over the past 55+ years.

@@joehickman6885 Yes, Defrost Kelly was Deforest's twin brother, born 2 minutes later than Dee. He didn't have much of a career as he had some sort of disorder in which he ran a temperature and kept dripping all over the floor.

write a book instead brave old boy hay happy or sad or mad I thought I told you I don't like being called boy and my dad don't like it either so am I cursed cause one and one is two you know the math don't you the Germans came across the sea right with some Nazis didn't they ok it is big wheat and big chickens I've eaten so much food I wish it was all magic and my first and last meal that poor rooster or hen or pork chop or beef steak or hamburger or fish whatever if it was allways the same ones they really go through a lot of disaplin Mike must be the tough one that's for sure what's the pain thresh hold thoughs magic last meals the same since when but at least they will be there and nobody will look at them the same as I know it dose come back but that's just a story for me to tell and thoughs harmless creachers are not quite the same as me and the rest but if it was magic and all the same table I suppose I'd feel different than if it was a whole farm which is the least I've eaten but still I would have liked to be the mountain man and fend for myself you k ow my belief you would have to do it for me anyway even if it was me doing it and if you failed me maybe I would blot you but on the other hand it might not be wise. and so magic man magic man is it a swan or a crane it's big thuoghs eagles are too but that bird is really big hay how did you like synthetics naturally I thought it was my invention but those elves do a good job but anyway so I may have had the idea there all still there leadbelly and a couple other suspects gave me the idea it's more possible than microwave pizza if you know what I mean bit the good book says they rest in there resting places and so places give me trouble I'm afraid of mine to be honest oh well better than pizza ok it's a mean thing to say but if you're a to z and only twenty two sure make my birthday 40613793857. from what little i have seen of this series it looks like the only time we see the Ranger's unmasked face is when he is in disguise.
