The Eagles Add More Shows for Even Higher Ticket Prices! #theeagles #donhenley
Hey everyone!
Tonight’s video not only covers the Eagles recent history, and the recents shows the Eagles have added to their residency at the Las Vegas Sphere, but I also go over the prices you can expect to pay for the very cheapest of seats to the front row view!
This one’s a doozie folks, even if I say so myself!
Oh yeah, and please don’t forget! If you enjoy tonight’s video, please consider giving it a Thumbs-Up as that helps the KZread algorithm better identify the channel to a larger audience!
And don’t forget that If you haven’t subscribed to the channel as of yet, just hit that subscribe to ‘The Tribe’ button, and then tap that Top-Bell Icon, and you’ll be notified of all my future videos!

This video so far has 209 thumbs up and one thumbs down, so Don Henley must have dropped by. 😃 Unlike Michael, I've never been a fan of The Eagles, although I respect their songwritinand talent 100%, except for the recent live shows, that is. Front row to watch the Eagles lip-sync, woo hoo!! The Las Vegas sphere is cool but to Las Vegas for real rock and roll. I did meet the guys in Paul McCartney's band backstage in 2010 and they were super nice and very friendly. Really great people.

The eagles have been done for 20 years. The greed is amazing.
I got to see Def Leppard, Poison and Tesla at the Kentucky Yum Center a few years back and we right up on the walkway that went out into the crowd for like $300.. I got a guitar pick from CC Deville and Vivian Campbell. And Joe Elliot gave my brother a high-five. No lip Synching.. And it was awesome.. No greed.

Almost $10K for front?! That's a down payment on a car! Btw, I've never been to Vegas. I think Henley is the stereotype spoiled rock star. Felder is best off out of that band. He doesn't need them.

Gone are the days of seeing banda for 10 dollars. I remember my first concert in January of 1977 . Queen and Thin Lizzy double bill . I paid 7 dollars to see both these bands on the same night. As far as meeting a certain artist, I met B.B. King while I worked stage security for his show. As I walked with him to his tour bus he shook my hand and signed an 8x10 black and white picture for me. Random rock star encounter. I went to a close by town grabbed a hotel room when I went to see Paul Rogers. After I checked in I got on the elevator the next couple of guys stepped on and it was Paul Rogers and his band mate. I said hi im really looking forward to your show tonight. The next morning I'm checking out the elevator opens up and Paul Rogers was on it. I told him I really enjoyed his show last night. He acknowledged me and said thanks your the bloke I was talking to yesterday.. Personal note. I would never pay that much money for a cover band.

I dont care if other people want to pay too much for a ticket. I refuse to get bent over by any band. Can do without.
I remember when we baulked at the ticket prices when we saw Ac/ Dc at the Hammersmith Odeon back in '79. The price was £3.50 per ticket. I think i also paid about £7.50 for the Led Zeppelin concert at Knebworth in the same year which was a whole day and part night event. How times have changed. Of course in those days bands toured to promote a new album which seems to have been turned on its head these days.

I agree with all your points. I stopped going to concerts years back once the regular ticket price got into three figures. I fully admit I got spoiled by seeing tons of great bands, many for less that $10 a ticket. (Yes, I'm that old.) But one ameliorating factor I can grant on high ticket prices is that bands just cannot make a living off record sales any more. That doesn't necessarily justify tickets in four figures, but it's sad what has happened with album sales now that people think music should just be free.
9k? NO WAY
And I thought it was crazy paying $100 when they toured right after the Hell Freezes Over album.😳- Roger
The Eagles have been saying "Goodbye" for the past 100 FCKING YEARS. Can't wait to buy my ticket for the 50th "Farewell" tour ... AGAIN.
The only time I considered spending that kind of money for a ticket was the Cream reunion at MSG. Alas, I opted to just get the DVD of the show taped at the Royal Albert Hall. And I wouldn't pay anything to see the current Pigeons, matter of fact, I really wish Joe Walsh would quit this money grab and get back to making his own music. Sheesh 🙄
Even them ? Can i make a personal appeal to don henley how sucky sucky sucky it is? Its truly thr end of the innocence!!!
I was lucky enough to get tickets on the day of a solo tour 21st anniversary. I typed a letter to Henley. It was our anniversary and provided the seating chart. I gave it to one of the stagehand to give to Henley. I was literally 5 feet from him. 45 minutes later, the show started he comes out members of the band seem to be on eggshells around him. He seemed to have a grimace on his face as if he just punched the time clock. at any point when the song started playing there were really good we got up and we started dancing. Henley initially told us to stay in our seats. we thought he was kidding the song all she wants to do is dance dance. We got up and started dancing after the song he scolded us and told us if we didn’t stay in our seats we were gonna have to leave. so we didn’t give him the privilege we on our own and before we found somebody that was in the nosebleeds and gave them our tickets front row center stage. I never played Eagles in the house for about five years of Dick Henley.. I’m off my soapbox now 😅
Those stupid ticket prices must be to bankroll Henley's mindless legal team trying to file frivolous lawsuits. My advice: Don't Go.
Michael, I agree that this once-great rock artist has let everyone down, and that the band he calls "The Eagles" is a shadow of its former self. I wouldn't pay money like the Sphere is charging, just to see a band lip-synching. For all we know, they might be also playing with backing tracks, as well. I'm glad that they left us a great body of work that we can always go back and listen to.

No Class Action Lawsuits against Con Henley ?
A mid-level band who for decades have struggled with their own limitations in the harsh face of success. Thank you Lester Bangs. Saw them in 1979 and they were OK but I wouldn't ever run out to see them again.
This guy is totally wrong about the Sphere, it’s absolutely insane, great experience. Great place to see a show. Just make sure you’re high enough up with no obstruction overhead. I wouldn’t pay extra for floor seats because you have to crank your neck to look up and see the show. As far as the Eagles go, I love Joe Walsh, hate the Eagles, always thought they were the shit end of country rock, much preferred the Burritos.
Michael, "Take it Easy!" lol, just kidding. Our favorite e-bands are dead.. Missing members, filler using computers, I live with my happy memories of better days.
First Concert I saw was Nantucket, Mothers Finest and Molly Hatchet and it was $8 for festival seating.
It’s not the Eagles anymore. It’s Don Henley and Friends and it’s way past time for him to put this act to bed. The Eagles have not been the same since they fired Don Felder. Henley should have kept his word after Glenn Frey died and buried the Eagles with him.
I will have to check that out, if they come to my city I will definitely go!
Why hasn't this lip syncing story gained national attention? At the VERY LEAST they, (and any other act), should be forced disclose that they use backing tracks and lip synching while performing "live." Who knew that Milli Vanilli would be such trend setters? I'd bet good money that Don Henley scoffed at them back in the day. Now they should be suing HIM for stealing their act.

Hi Ilabelle! I do get carried away from time to time!❤️
I wonder about people that would pay thousands of dollars to see a band that just uses the title of the original band, I wouldn't pay that to see the originals, I saw the Doors two times for $6. also Grand Funk Railroad, Led Zeppelin, The Bee Gee's, Three Dog Night and others for that same price.
Years ago, the last concert I went to, I think it was $30 for a ticket. I wouldn’t pay anywhere near what tickets cost now. I can’t see paying that much money, if they were flawless, much less lip syncing and playing to backing tracks. I’ve got better things to spend my money on.
The farewell was an embarrasment, only 1 real Eagle was there from the original band, with help from Joe Walsh and Timothy who became members after Randy,Bernie, ,Don F, left. But the other substitute musicians were so different,no Eagles sound at all, it was bad. We in Europa were disappointed,
Come on guys that lip syncing hardware and software is getting more expensive with inflation. The ticket prices are commensurate with the cost of the technology. Enjoy the show.
As long as tickets sell, and promotors are willing to book them can you really blame them for cashing the checks?
You mean, "The Eagle. "

Are the Eagles forcing people to pay for those tickets? Have a good cry and hug it out and you’ll be ok..
Certain top tier rock acts would not be doing it if they were not still selling the tickets at top dollar. If people did not go, they would have no choice but lower the ticket prices. Even if there are thousands of seats available at each show, they are raking it in. In other words, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen and Paul McCartney are only catering to the wealthy that can afford to pay those inflated prices. It is because the loss of selling millions of albums because of instant downloads and free music streaming. As for meeting rock stars, I had the pleasure of shaking hands with Eddie Money at a free after show meet and greet in 2013. He was a nice guy that was humbled by his fame. He performed in a tiny casino nightclub and did all the hits live as it happened. It was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. The same year, we saw Alice Cooper for only $20 a ticket at another small venue that wasn't even sold out.
Reminds me of the SNL skit - "The thing that wouldn't leave". All remains is for Henley to sell "The Eagles" name and then they can continue on as the next "Little River Band", with NO original band members left, playing cover gigs. Maybe he could even franchise it and there could be a chain of "Eagles" bands. Goodbye Don. Take some leftovers. Drive safe. Watch out for deer.
PS Alan Parsons is amazing.
Those avatars look amazing!
A few thousand to see a glorified tribute band? Nah. A joke and a bad one at that. I saw the Alan Parsons Project live a little over a month ago in a mid-sized theatre, my ticket was around 80 dollars, one of the best concerts I've seen. Worth more than the tix price alone.
I certainly like some of the Eagles recorded work, but to pay thousands of dollars to see Don Henley lip-sync would be a depressing experience.
I’ll leave my dough in the bank thankyouverymuch. Rick Beato just dropped a video explaining the homogenization of modern music in layman terms. Eagles were good in the first years, till Henley and Frey behaves themselves like narcissist. The best musicians left.
People will pay it if no other reason to " flex" at the company break room and Facebook likes..so pathetic
The last time the Eagles came to town, $200 for nosebleed seats is too much. I just could not do it on principle. However if someone else buys them at that price, then that is what they are worth. It’s sad, but true. Another problem is secondary sellers armed with bots buying up all the tickets, then inflating the price even more.
As a fellow Macca fan did you hear about the autotuned HeyJude being played on an adidas commercial at a Football match? Not good.
Out of curiosity I checked out ticket prices for Paul McCartney's two shows in Manchester UK recently. The cheapest available to me were £600 each. This was at the new Co-Op Arena (co-owner Irving Azoff) which seems to have been created purely to fleece concert goers and put other venues in town out of business. The Eagles played a five night residency there earlier this month and the prices were similarly eye-watering. It seems clear to me that these new venues are in cahoots with the artists and the wretched Ticketmaster to screw as much money out of 'consumers' as they possibly can, and if people are daft enough to pay it then more fool them. It's smaller bands & smaller venues for me from now on. I'm sick of heritage rock acts ripping off their fans (yes, you too Mr Springsteen) when they're well past their sell by date. I'm glad I'm old enough to have seen the great bands back in the day for a reasonable price in decent concert halls. I don't like sounding like an old fart but I'm sorry those days are gone and that live music is being 'Disneyfied' by these corporate whores.
