The Lighthouse - Freudian Psychoanalysis.

The Lighthouse is a 2019 film directed and produced by Robert Eggers, from a screenplay he wrote with his brother Max Eggers. It stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson as nineteenth-century lighthouse keepers. The director and even the cast of the film were pretty clear about there being a thematic freudian and jungian influence within the fim. So I decided to attempt a basic psychoanalysis of the characters, just for fun tho, I'm no expert on this subject so feel free to correct any bad info in the comments.

Fascinating analysis using Freudian and Jungian psychological models. Made a lot of sense to me. Thankyou.I particularly enjoyed how you discussed this film in terms of the Jungian Shadow. I've spent a great deal of time studying Jung's ideas.
