This was the first song that David Phelps sang with the Gaither band. He sang it in the Whitehall Tabernacle just outside Belfast.

I absolutely love this... My sister is getting ready to go meet her Heavenly Father, I can only imagine what a day that will be when she sees Jesus face and the reunion between her and my momma and daddy... WHat a glorious day...

This Never gets old to me. This was David's first solo with the Homecoming Friends, watch Vestal's face when David hits D5!

@@AQKuilan Yes, this was his 1st solo on the Homecoming Videos. He was the new Tenor with the Gaither Vocal Band. However his first solo with the Vocal Band was "Little is much"!

I recall us at a small fishing village along the coast of Maine 65 years ago singing this song in church over and over again, raising the roof and bringing down the house as they used to say. Those coastal Maine fishermen knew the value of a lifeboat, and loved the Lord they served.

A fabulous job on this old southern Gospel favorite. And who could forget the saintly sweet and powerful voice of Mrs Vestal Goodman.

Phelps sings with passion.

David Phelps is the best ever tenor and no one can ever outdo him. David conveys the meaning of the song with such sincerity and belief, he feels the song. Love him and his family is so talented also.

Vestal holds her part with David here. You can definitely hear her along with David on this one. Two very distinctive voices with a whole lot of power. What always amazed me about Vestal was that she was in her 60's here, and her voice just kept getting stronger the older she got.
