Kobi became my favorite side character, feels like we literally got to watch him grow up.

His glow up is insane and the next navy hero and Garp's successor is coming soon

Garp doesn't call him the 'The Future of the Marines' for nothin'!

Luffy and Coby will be the roger and garp of this era

Koby went from the "oh I remember you from the start of the story" character to one of if not my favorite marine in the story, and I cannot wait for him to pick up Garp's legacy as the marine hero. I'll be disappointed if we don't get to see him and Luffy in a fair fight one day, and I'm sure Luffy wants that fight too

He really grew up and became a great honorable,trustworthy,strong,respected,kind, and skillful marine

He is him because he don't follow ABSOLUTE justice, he follows MORAL justice which is less brutal to pirates than absolute

What I love about koby and luffy's friendship is that both of them clearly had very different paths they wanted to follow. Luffy knew that if he helped koby become a marine he would eventually become his enemy but he still helped his friend because it was his dream. And koby, after realising that luffy was trying to help him, came to respect and admire him as well. Thats so fucking wholesome.
