Initially I hesitate to play or register in Lichess... later, since it doesn't force me to register or annoy by trying to catch me at different platforms, I slowly preferred to be part of Lichess, now everyday I play few games in Lichess in different time formats, sometimes its human/bots, but lists opponents of similar rating of mine with+ or - 50 to 100 points.... It gives fun, joy to play, experiment different ways of playing, even trying stupid games... When I tried 1 minute game in Lichess, I barely able to make 2 or 3 moves, now I am able to make 30 to 40 moves in 1 minute game... Helped improve game, even though I am 1500 rating... Playing for fun, soul satisfaction 😂

This is FANTASTIC! I'm so happy that CB India and Lichess have gotten together for this interview. I'm not much of a chess player, and I focus primarily on chess puzzles, which is enjoyable for me and far less stressful than one-on-one chess.

Thanks Sagar for the great interview. I came from the open source software community, so was delighted when I returned to chess after a very long absence, to find lichess. This interview was very informative. I hope one day that Lichess can provide some of the functionality that Chessbase and Chessify do. As an aspiring chess player and open source advocate, I would love for my chess toolbox to be free and open source!
