The Libertines - Time for Heroes | Reaction!
Музыка
I rambled on a bit here, and my brain was a bit fuzzy because of a cold, but if you've watched me for a bit, you should expect this lol. Anyway, this was a fast, catchy tune that almost reminds me of a punk song from the '70s. Pete was perfect for this as he could get everything off his chest about the riots and his experience with the police.
Thanks for watching!

The Libertines were the last UK band I really got excited about, crazy this is from 20 years ago now. The bands first two albums are well worth digging into for more reactions.
"and you'll die in the class you were born", absolute fire lyric

Deep as hell.
The Libertines are one those bands that don't just play live.....they excel at playing live. Their gigs are real events and are as good, if not better, than they are on vinyl....

very true! Saw them first time in 2014 and many times afterwards... they keep on getting better each time. And the chemistry between Peter and Carl is something else - and that after all that time and all that they were going through

Love, love, love The Libertines. I was at Peter Dohertys solo gig at The Royal Albert Hall a couple of months ago..... Let's just say it was amazing. It ended in a stage invasion, some didn't approve. I have to say I loved every chaotic moment!!
Now we’re talking, Nick! The Libs are fantastic. I was in Tokyo when Up the Bracket(their debut album) came out and I heard something playing as I was browsing at Tower Records in Shibuya. It hit me like a bolt of lightning. This sound…so urgent and frantic yet melodic. Nothing had hit me like that since the Clash. It was The Libertines. They have a ton of amazing tracks in their criminally short career. They are still a band, but their music output is pretty non-existent, but they did open a boutique hotel. If you ever circle back to them. Might I suggest some tasty tunes of theirs? I Get Along - first single before theyy it r debut album Vertigo - first track off first album and just sheer banger Can’t stand me now - second album track What became of the likely Lads - indeed Cheers, mate
That first album of theirs is class from start to finish. An absolute abomination live when you look back at it but at the time was a riot. Used to go to loads of their small gigs in random London clubs. Pretty sure Gary went on to teach drumming at the royal school of music for a bit and my band played with John Hassel's new band Yeti when they toured after the libs broke up
Great song and wonderful review as usual dear Nicholas.
Pete Doherty very talented guy
Death on the stairs or Vertigo next by these would be great
...mate please do Fu*k Forever by Babyshambles, cheers!
Crackin' band live, in the tradition of Dr Feelgood, The 101'ers, Ian Dury, Elvis Costello capturing that 70's British garage pub rock sound and feel so well with genius lyrics that are up there with the greats of British Poetry..
You need to react to Chappaqua Wrestling. One of the best bands in Britain just now, with a debut incoming. Jump on!
Actually strike that-Can’t Stand Me Now is their best
Why are British artists obsessed with class honest question
