those 6 cylinder leylands sound great. That's probably a pretty rare tractor now, especially in straight condition like yours.

MBSnapper yeah there’s a few about but getting rare a lot was exported parts for them is getting hard to find

Nice to see its got a good home. ive got 3 six cylinders and love them lots. need to find them some work for a bit of fun . im a truck driver so dont get to use them.

+MASSEY ROB im getting mine back to operating properley and have put the exhaust back up behind the cab on my 285. both 2100 still got factory rear mount exhaust. i like my tractors original condition. Once they are all sorted ill paint them.

Paul Diack yes that’s my plan is to put them back to original not much to do the 10 speed needs painted and a exhaust out the back and the Synchro needs the mounts done and the exhaust

I had 2 of them 262 and a 272 syncro. 272 was a rocket on the road used to use a tarrup 53inch harvesters on it not a bother. Used to wear drive shaft going from clutch to gearbox if engine mounts came lose apart from that no bother and a miser on diesel.

Joseph Lockhart yeah that was the biggest let done was there engine mounts but a great tractor with plenty of power

I learnt in the late eighties on a 270 and a Massey 595. Loved the 270 very fast on the road and the hi lo was like a half gear. Quite a bit different to yours as your gear lever on the side but the back end is pretty much the same with the cap to lock the hydraulics. Enjoy.

Robert Higgins yeah the 270 was a great tractor we had one for years and was the main loader tractor on the family farm for years the 5x2 box was a fast box for the road

Hope you don't mind me asking. But why is the exhaust not on the back of the cab like the 2100.. Great machine n nice video..👍👍👍

Yeah sticks right and left of the seat high and low on the left and 5 speeds on the right

And is the 9 speed the same set up? And there used to be two gear stick s in the middle aswel.where they order?

The Synchro is 9 speed on the left you have High,medium & low on the right 1,2,3 & R 6 cylinder never came with sticks in the middle only 10speed 4cyl had the sticks in the middle. 4cyl synchro had the gears at the sides

What jobs does this do on the farm (sorry i don't have time to watch)
