The Lexus GS F is a Reliable V8 Burnout Machine
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
2019 Lexus GS F Review by The Straight Pipes. With 467hp and 389lb-ft of torque from a naturally aspirated V8 engine, this aging GS F is a gem in the world of turbo's and hybrid's. But at $100,050, there are a lot of other options with more horsepower. Would you take it over the Mercedes-AMG E63, BMW M5, Lexus LC500?

Pointless for tire wear. And certainly pointless for useable performance when you can't go full throttle for more than a few seconds. Unless you're on the track often, which btw, plenty of broken German missiles around, there is literally no point. Last track day I went to, no Merc BMW Audi came close to passing and one of the M3's came apart on the track. Doesn't say a lot for German engineering.

Great review! As an owner for two years with my 2017 GSF I would say most of the review is spot on! I enjoyed this review as much as the one Chris Harris gave on the GSF. @@computerhelpcc Congrats! tom's is a Japanese aftermarket parts company specialize on Lexus and Toyota. Their exterior parts are hit or miss from time to time. But usually look good on last-gen lexus, especially their fender inserts.
For future interested buyers: I traded in a 2017 BMW 340i mSport for 2016 GS F. I've not regretted that decision one bit... so much faster and stable into corners, sounds better, more responsive at high speeds. While the entertainment system is nothing like BMW's, I've gotten used to using Lexus enform system...it does the job but you will get frustrated with it.
This car isn't much to look at, but I kind of like how much of a sleeper this thing is. Plus, the legendary reliability never hurts with a car like this.

Yaaaaaas, i requested this for the last 2 years!!!!!
Sad they're discontinuing the GS because it's one of my favourite new Lexus products
It's a great time to be a car enthusiast, what you can buy for your money now was unimaginable several years ago, you can buy a family sedan, and or wagon that are pushing supercar terrioty of speed, but yet, I also find it amusing that a car with anything less than 600 hp is considered sub par nowadays, and not worthy of mention. Although, the GS F may have the power disadvantage, raw performance is only one measure of a cars overall appeal. So, thanks for doing a review on the GS F; with the transition to turbos/superchargers, and pretty soon hybrid integration into performance cars (that aren't supercars the general public can afford) , it truly is a gem of a car that is often overlooked completely, all because it doesn't have the raw power figures compared to it's competitors, mostly from spec sheet warriors from my experience. For a potential buyer of a GS F, I can't think of another car that is most affected by a short test drive, it takes more than a 30 minute drive to really appreciate the package as a whole this car has to offer - it's got a certain personality that grows on you the more you drive it, a car that checks all the boxes when it comes to driving experience - it is in the true sense of the word a drivers car. Brand new at MSRP, it is allot of money, I will agree, and there are allot of other options at that price point, but on the used market at the $45,000-55,000 range, I'll go as far as to say, it's the best car in this segment you can buy at that price. That being said: for a manufacture to still produce what is now the last NA RWD luxury sports sedan into the year 2020 is something to be embraced if you're a true car enthusiast, because cars like this will be none existant not to long from now, just as the manual transmissions faith has come to be, so enjoy it while it's still available - with low production numbers, along with N/A V8 power, the GS F is in a way the modern equivalent of the E39 M5 & Mercedes 500e of the past.
This car looks like a ton of fun! Awesome review as always

I just checked the prices on one of the biggest German websites. They have only 10 GSFs and they are around 60K EURO each.
