LC500 v8 is just a superb car, the most gorgeous yet unique looking vehicle in the ~200k price range especially in yellow paint and beige interior trim, the NA engine is just the most beautiful thing ive ever heard only thing stopping me from making it my dream car is it has no manual option which is to be expected in a medium-high end performance touring car
I can guess the answer is 100% yes before even watching the video.

Definitely a car worth aspiring to get. Only downside I can see is the fuel consumption though it's not as bad as last week's Porsche Cayenne. Have to admit I think you guys have hit the sweet spot for the video layout and anymore tweaking would lessen the quality of it. Honestly 11.3L/100km isn't even that bad. The VZ SV6 released in 2004 got 11.5, and that only made 190kw and was way lighter (and was also praised for being far quicker and more efficient than the previous 3.8L model). Heck, even only some 9 years ago the comparable HSV Gen F Senator (making 340kw) could still only manage 12.9L/100km.

Liking the updated format. Good work to you Adam and your team
I loved your point about being left handed driving a right hand drive car. For this reason manual cars feel so natural for me and are so fun to drive!
Lexus V8s are so silky smooth, I have the 3UZFE in my 22 year old SC430 and it is such a lovely engine. Lexus leather interiors are soft and wear really well and the seats are just great.
Lexus are the design masters in creating cars and suv's that are difficult to place time wise. The other day, I was on the road and saw a Lexus LS 500 behind a Lexus ES 350. It's striking how both cars looked so similar and how far the ES's design has evolved since the early 2000s ❤.
I own a 2016 GSF. Drives brilliantly, only issue is the internal carbon fibre clear coating cracks. Not a deal breaker but a pain in the arse to fix.
One of my old neighbours bought one for his wife. Exact same colour & trim as Adam has driven. There's never been any problems whatsoever. To me, I just don't like the front but everything else is fine. My old neighbours wife is a southpaw like me & the interior controls are just fine. I'd have one myself but they are hard to find.
GSF all the way❤

Spot on review. Had a 2017 UK GSF for over 4 years and still love it... not a single fault thus far. Controlling tbe infotainment took a bit of getting used to, but you don't even think about it once mastered - I find it much easier than suspending my left hand in mid air to operate touch screen. 2017 models add adaptive dampers, so lesss firm ride in the non sports settings.

Good video and precise information. The rarity is very real, I’ve yet to see one in person. As an RCF owner I’ve only seen 4 others within 40 mile of my home. I keep my Pre Collision System off because it almost killed me lol 113k miles and can still touch 170 with ease. Last long time.

Haven't watched it and the answer is yes. It will still work in 45 years time
Finally the video been released, I seen your post on the GSF owner FB group asking for "thing you hates/ cons about GSF" One thing i have to add is the air vent on driver is almost useless at blowing air when aim at driver. Yes we USA owner got a poverty specs GSF, no rear sunshades, no rear console control and no power open/close boot. Seeing the Matador Red Mica on the GSF looks really good, I almost forgot that i have the same GSF in sitting in garage lol. Yes the front lower carbon fiber lip does take good beating from motorway usage. Major service is every 60,000 miles (roughly 100k km) and by Toyota major mean (replace spark plugs, differential fluids, air filter/ cabin air filter and whipper blade lol). I also went and drain and fill the transmission fluid as well. My GSF has 70k miles and so far no creak or rattle in the interior, the car does suffer from interior cabon delaminating on the driver side trim piece. The car originally from California owned by Lexus and later move to Texas. Great reviews and cheer mate.

Regarding the brakes. That is an easy fix, I have a 14 LS with the Brembo brakes and they made a ton of dust. Switched over to EBC red stuff a few months ago and those make 1/4 of the dust. A little bit of noise but not much worse than stock and I've found them to be a bit easier to modulate as well.
About time🎉
Now you're talking. My sons RC-F was superb, and as you said cost bugger all to service, and of coarse never missed a beat. And that noise they make on start up, my god.

Making all the prices go up on the daily
I picked up 10th anniversary model 4 years ago and love it completely. Not one complaint, living in a very hot place, I've experienced none of the problem you stated they may have, even when looking for real problems with this car, some people have to make up stuff like my truck leaks, but only a couple of cars. WTF? So why even say that then? They don't leak, but people do close stuff in the lid sometimes and complain about leaks, I've seen that happen before. This car is so much better at so many things than it's competition it's in a class by its self. The markets switched decades ago to shallow people that "need" but can't buy a nice car so they can rent it for 3-4 years, walk away with nothing but payments paid and more on the way, with no emphases on reliability or maintenance in the car equation, or enjoying that rental ever again. If you want to buy and drive your own car, have that feeling of not being stranded in the middle of now where or constantly repairing a car when you always need it, than you need to have your head examined for I.Q. and ego levels to see if you are an adult, or a kid or a women, figure it out fast because the future will mess you up if you blow money to look cool instead of long term survival. I loved this man analogy, I am tall, thin and ware lose close, feels good, I like it that way, and this is the sleeper of sleeper cars out there. I don't by anything for others to comment on, it's all about what I like. This guy's take on that behavior of car owners or car renters is spot on. Americans are the same, for most, it's more about what co-workers and friends think than having any sense about what the car is for in the first place for a forward thinking owner. #1) A to B every time without exceptions, sounds and feels good to be in, fun to drive. When you park and walk away, you often take a look back like it's a young hot girl, just to get one more smile out of the process, knowing you get to drive it again real soon. Buy this car used, you'll never get rid of it for something better. Maybe different, but not better. Everything else is a trade off of drivability / comfort for speed bump challenges and getting in and out on a double date. No better 4 person car on the road, although the SUV's may nicer for that, they don't set you free to really drive when alone like this cruiser will. It's fast, stops fast and the suspension in the corners can't be better or safer with is computers letting you fishtail just enough to make you smile and laugh with no chance of hitting guard rails or other traffic. It's how high power should be delivered in a luxury sports car. Love it. BTW, I just installed 4 new tires last month and the car feels like it drove out of the show room, smoothly rolling on the HWY, then zipping around lanes and corners effortlessly just like band new. I hope you can find one if you want one. Most don't know what these really are all about so you may stumble upon a great buy, skip the 2016, it didn't have the much improved electronic suspension yet, 2017 on is fine, be patient, lot's of people will be selling assets this year needing money, maybe you can help. Good luck.

Pretty spot on review! I had a ‘16 GS F and now a ‘19, both are great all around performance cars. Neither is as quick as my former CL55 or E60 M5 but they’re pretty close. Lexus would have hit a home run if it had put an 8k RPM screaming V8 with 500hp in the GS F!

LOL you accountant is baked AF!!!
GSF first year only fixed dampers are a bit firm and on highways that vary from asphalt to concrete it’s not quite supple enough. 3600 rpm half+ throttle epic sound, TVD makes curves fun and a little slidey. Tach center w speedo = Porsche, so no adjustment when you go between the two.
A good compromise on the GS F is the GS450h F Sport. Good economy and about 70% of the performance. You should review on those those.

And it's only about $8-10k more for the V8 over the V6 car. The GSF was $30k for the V8 over the V6 car, I think the IS 500 is a better bargain.
Having a 2012 gs350 down here in NZ (which is the same generation as this GSF) and even that got plenty of power the potential to lose your license. It will happily cruise along at 180kph as quietly and effortlessly as if its doing 100, only if we can do such speed here. :( Its now my second car and my car of choice for going on a long road trip, so powerful, comfortable and luxurious while sipping fuel at below 8L/100km.
