At ReDriven, we’ll be taking you through the pros and cons of a huge range of used cars to see how well they’re going now that they’re a few years old, have thousands of kilometres on the clock, and are coming toward the end of their warranty, or maybe don’t have one at all.

Plus, thanks to our resident mechanic, Jim, you’ll find out what commonly goes wrong with them and what might need to be fixed.

Most importantly, we want to make ReDriven a voice for the most in-the-know used car experts there are...you guys.. See, you’re the ones that actually buy, live with, love and sometimes unfortunately hate the cars we’ll be reviewing.

So we want to hear your thoughts. Hit us up in the comments, or on Instagram and Facebook.

We’d love nothing more than for you to give us as much feedback as possible, so we can make this channel the best it can be.

Should you buy a USED Dodge VIPER?

Another car to bring back to memory is the A70 supra, worth consideration. Once you get past the 7M head gasket problem, they're a great, good looking car with real street presence

The wide bodied starion was my favourite. Here in the UK I don't think I've a 3000gt or starion on the road in 20 years.

Had an Abarth Esseesse for 18 months. It snapped it's cambelt, and my girlfriend at the time forced me to save it since we were buying a house and every month i was spending money keeping it alive. Needless to say I purchased a house on my own. I have since moved to South Florida from the UK, where I am in need of a car, and this is what I am going to go with! Loved the car then, and looking forward to loving another! Wasn't the best car I've ever owned (Ford Fiesta ST Peron edition), but it was certainly my favorite! It just had soooo much character!

I wish I was in the USA - I am in Austraia - my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee is a lemon. I bought it used and it is a great vehicle. However, I discovered a 'ticking' sound from the engine! I did the research and it was loose rocker covers. Fix it or the engine will disintegrate if the rocker covers dislodge - $5000 fix. Front suspension totally gone, total replacement $3000? fix. Headlamps failed twice, ~$300 each. Took out a side mirror in an a crash - $1100 to replace - used! New parts (unless common) take 3 months to import from USA. Used parts prices are the same as new parts prices - wreckers know they have a monopoly. Latest is a transmission fault - stuck in gear repeatedly. Mechanic advises needs a new transmission, another $5000. I took the advice of a different mechanic - replace the transmission filters, which I did. No change.

I have one term for you... legal insurance policy. Anybody who gives me any bullshit now, I just sick the insurance company's legal department on them. Most such bullshitters cease and desist immediately, and for those who try their luck further, the insurance company pays for my lawyer... it's really interesting how everything changes 180 degrees when they see you sicked a lawyer on them. It's sad that we have come down to this, but you have to lawyer up if you want to get anywhere any more.

I'm not sure what Range Rover model it was, but in 2022 I was driving from Karratha to Perth and pulled into a caravan park in Geraldton. A late-model Range Rover was on the back of a truck and the truck was pulling a caravan. The Range Rover had broken when it was pulling the caravan in country WA, and it was on the back of a truck on its way to be repaired. Apparently Range Rover was covering all the bills - collection, repair etc - but it was woeful end to the family holiday. I was driving a 2021 Toyota Fortuner - ie, a pimped Hilux - and I stated the obvious to the Range Rover owner - 'There is a reason why people buy Toyotas'.

I've had two turbo GTOs, still have one of them. Had a jza80 turbo back in the day also. Tbh, between the supra and the gto, both have their good and bad points. Overall, I consider them to be roughly equally good. The supra is just over-rated, and the gto under-rated. Worst part about the GTO is probably its cramped and plasticity interior. Otherwise it feels great to drive, has a lot of tuning potential, and it looks incredible. BTW, I'm not knocking this video, but I think it was a real mistake to make it without finding a turbo gto to feature in it. I've test driven an n/a, and it's a completely different car. Slow and gutless, it's really embarrassing that a car that looks so fast can be so sloooow. Seriously a Camry of the same vintage is faster. In case I'm coming off as a gto fanboy, I actually think both the 300zx z32 and the mr2 (sw20 or a11) are better examples of the automotive designers art (in turbo or SC form of course) than either the supra or gto... Although if it's raining I'll take the mitsi everytime 😊

I was driving in a 1998 Land Rover. It was still an awesome SUV. I bought a 2016 Range a River Evoque. It was basic model. But I love my little SUV. Cost od repair ia a bit high. But once a part is replaced it will run like brand new. I love the older models like mine becuwe they were square / boxy.

John Cadogan reckons that most of the fuel efficiency actually comes from the Atkinson cycle engine. Hybrids make no sense to me- a whole lot of extra equipment, cost, weight, battery etc just to recover braking energy. I'll stick to my 1NZ-FE thanks.

Unpopular opinion, but in this case, the manual is noticeable worse than the auto. Plus it’s a pretty antiquated that a manual automatically…(no pun intended) makes the dei ing experience of a car better

  • @iGSL22
    @iGSL2210 сағат бұрын

@@ReDriven I wouldn't say so, as a former owner of a manual 235 and 240. Drove a zf8 and was bored to tears within 15 minutes. Better manuals exist, sure, it's gearing is too tall and the feel is a bit rubbery compared to the best out there, but pedals are perfect for heel/toe. Clicking a button to shift gears will never be able to provide the same experience as shifting yourself. My opinion, of course.

its always easy for every fool to make a video attacking Mercedes because there are a lot of Mercedes haters out there and that's those who wish to have Mercedes but cant afford Mercedes. I bet you if Mercedes are sold half the price or like other cars 90% of the haters will choose Mercedes. Just like everyone complaining about how expensive to travel first class but if they are offered half the price no damn person will sit in Economic class and No regular first class travelers will go to Economic class even for free. Everybidy think Mercedes are made by God and shouldn't have any problems. Even some God Creations have issues example these humans look how bias jealous these reveiwers have against Mercedes. Ive owned Mercedes from 190e to Glc 300 Amg (130k miles) and they're Superb Vehicles with no issues after warranty. Sometimes i dont know where these fools get their stories from. When one or even thousand people out of Millions of Mercedes sold complained about some issues they attacked the whole industry.

I owned on these in VR4 trim, same shape and colour as featured example in the video. Even though mine was a abused example that needed work and therefore was cheap for me to buy, that machine was a such a blast. It drives like it`s glued to the road, and was actually really comfy to drive too, not at quite same level as my 2003 Volvo S60 but really not that far behind either. I miss that car so much and regret selling it.
