All your questions will be answered in the next episodes. And i just want to point out one detail that may have slipped. When Grog talks to Pike about facing Kevdak and she told him: "But what if i need u?" That is the same sentence Grog asked when Pike told the group she needs to go to a temple when they were leaving for Whitestone. Grog also asked Pike: "What if i need u?" Its a small detail but it perfectly showcases the bond between Grog and Pike.

Can't wait for you to see that fight. It has a couple great character moments, which culminate in one of *the best* spontaneous combat maneuvers the group has ever pulled off on stream. And they animated it beautifully.

It was actually Pike who healed Grog when he was younger. She just used the term grandfather as it was simpler in that moment. Additionally, in the campaign, the orc that wanted Scanlan's autograph is named Dr Dranzel and was actually the one who discovered Scanlan (in the musical sense) and started his career as a bard. It's actually quite amusing when you learn who Sam based Scanlan's backstory on.

@@gilessaint-loup2426 That's where the race/class came from, but he actually based the backstory off Eminem. Dr. Dranzel is a play on Dr. Dre and there are other similarities I won't go into just yet for spoiler reasons.

@@chad8767 They are really versatile. They can be tinkerers, mages, bards, artists or a more non-traditional role. And have special abilities that give them advantages while exploring underground or in the wilderness. Also, their personalities make them easy to play as jokesters or eccentrics.

Fun fact! The guy that the guards killed after playing boulder parchment shears is voiced by Chris Sabot, the official English voice actor for Piccolo and Vegeta

Is it…? Pike specifically says pop pop is her great great grandfather. When the girl is healing Grog in the flashback though, she says “thanks for saving my grandfather.” That would imply it’s Pike’s grandmother.

It is actually Pike in the flashback.. That is when Grog first met Pike (Gnomes live a very long time)

I cannot wait for your reaction to Ep. 10! Its an incredible episode; maybe my favorite episode of any show ever. I'm sure you are both going to love it.

At first we thought it was and then when she said it was his great great grandfather we thought it wasn’t plus the different hair. And the fact that she was surprised by how Grog met her great great grandfather 🤗 but good to know it was confirmed to be Pike

Get ready for the, imho, best episode of the series. The other two are great as well but the next one is a cut above

"Pike's mom" actually, just Pike. She used to have dark hair, before she died and was resurrected before the live streams, causing it to turn white.

A lot of Travis's voice takes are actually just the first take and he says he doesn't know how it happens that way. Like the "I got a beard" and then the scream of joy was his first take and he says he didn't know where that joy scream came from. He just seems like a guy who gets into the moment very easily. Also, sorry for the name association, lol.

The Herd of Storms are raiders and scavengers who don't make anything of their own, they are nomads who raid and take what they need from others. A large portion of them are half-giants like Grog, but they have always been open to taking in people of any species. If you're willing to fight and kill for the herd, you're welcome among them. They were always viscous and would kill anyone who put up a fight when they raided a settlement, but when Kevdak became the leader they turned outright cruel and killed just because they could (or in some cases, because they enjoyed it).

I wouldn't say they were vicious, pre-Kevdak. They were nomadic raiders. The real shift towards evil and cruelty came when Kevdak to others. Otherwise they were just taking to meet their needs.

grog was a teen I believe when he met pop-pop and pike

Pike's hair was originally black (with a purple streak), until she was bisected by a glabrezu (look it up if you dare). Her hair turned white when she was resurrected in the Everlight's temple. Ridding the royal family of demonic influence and possession was the original reason they became heroes of Emon. Narratively speaking, it happened shortly before they started livestreaming the game. Scanlan was originally a member of Dr. Dranzel's troupe before he joined VM, so it's nice that we still get to see them.
