New to the world of Perrin. I knew of the programme but I've spent the past month watching each episode from Series One for the first time. Thoroughly enjoyed it all. I love the mixture of comedy and pathos. I wasn't going to watch 'Legacy' but I think it's a great tribute, with all the original characters coming into their own. There's a lot of warmth to this series. Thanks for uploading.

I didn't get where i am today without knowing this series was made 17 years after the fall and rise.... ended. Brilliant comedy may Leonard Rossiter aka Reginald Iolanthe Perrin R.I.P.

You`ve all done the cliches so I`ll content myself with - I enjoyed that, great stuff.

It sounded as if there was the possibility of another series, perhaps where they did get the money. But I'm not surprised it didn't happen - that would have been absurd!

Great series, many thanks for posting. I would like to think that Jimmy & Geraldine finally got it together eventually.

No, not another revolution of greedy people trying to tell other people what to do.

Very well done in my opinion, when you compare it with the quality of other attempts to revive something great. I don't think the second and third seasons of the original series were anywhere near as good as the first season, and I think these episodes are quite comparable to the original Seasons 2 & 3, i.e., still very enjoyable.

Wait, the red light is on on the tv camera in front of Jimmy. Oh man... Anyway, I don't think Geraldine's excuse quite measures up. She graded them on competence, not absurdity. "Oh were a bunch of cockup fools and I had high hopes, then you got all competent and it took off." Um.. that wasn't the requirement. Look to the beginnings. The idea was absurd and they did it. Just like a store that sold only useless things. Look to Reggie for the example. He kept doing absurd things and accidentally succeeding. They did the same. Following perfectly in his footsteps. No, he should have been happy for them. Unless there was a part that was not read out loud. Some that somehow disqualifies popularity and success from... Look, I'll sum it all up in two words : Bell bottoms. Speaking of Geraldine being wrong, I think something was left on the cutting room floor. How did she go from wanting a good long term relationship to not wanting a good long term relationship. "Oh, I know myself" is not adequate; that's just the "we can write it out with this two second clip, we'll be good." No. She was wrong to dump Jimmy; "Oh, I just want hot sex not a sweater man." Bullshit. She wanted a sweater man and there was nothing to show how she changed her mind.

Now that is strange, D H Jones is wearing his Welsh heritage underpants from 1978 & I've not changed mine since then & I always get a seat to my self wherever I am!

She said it. They do get another chance. I'm not going to go back, but I don't feel there was any such restriction in the will.

The reason they didn’t, as she explained, was there was a bit of a cock up on the absurdity front with their idea in the end- it was too well thought out.

Looks like there was a cock-up on the ending front. That aside, this was a vast improvement over the third series.

Nice series. But one strange thing. They took so much trouble to maintain continuity from the original series, including referencing some very minor issues. But no mention at all of Reggie's son Mark. (Or did I miss it?)

David Nobbs actually wrote Mark (David Warwick) out of the script, because he was concerned that he was outshining the sketches that he was in with Leonard for some reason. The excuse in the story after series 1 was that Mark went to Africa or something like that.
