I had completely forgotten about that game! Now I wanna play it.
After the Nier remake Drakengard 3 deserves a remake more than any game I can think. Some optimization and a modernization of the combat could put it up there as Yoko Taro's best game. All of his games are incredibly thought-provoking stories but something about Drakengard 3 just elevates it, whether it's the characters the setting or just the relationship between Zero and Mikhail the game tells a more profound story than any game I've ever played and deserves the same love the Nier games have gotten recently.

Your ps3 slim should not sound like that, either the cooler and fan are full of dust or the thermal paste is degraded, both of those are really easy to fix if you can hold a screw driver, you'll need a special security driver to remove one screw though, they are a few bucks on ebay so no big deal I guess.

Time and Eternity has always been a fascinating game to me just cause of the style. I wish there was another JRPG that used that style and was actually good and interesting and not the usual anime filler, and improved on the style with more animations and less awkwardness. Super Robot Taisen is a great series and is probably a major inspiration for other Bamco crossover titles such as NamcoXCapcom and ProjectXZone. It's basically Mecha Fire Emblem with a massive crossover cast from 15-30 mecha shows. The one you showed is part of the OG series, which includes no licensed IPs. The recent SRT V,X and T provide a modern experience using the classic formula and would serve as a good entry point, as they require no prior knowledge and include many familiar faces such as Gundam(V+X+T), Evangelion(V) and Code Geass(X). The anniversary game SRT30 is the most recent release and shakes up the formula a bit. Most of the newer releases are available in English on multiple platforms.

Guided Fate Paradox and Awakened Fate Ultimatum feels like a shoe-in for one of those port Double-Pack things NIS have been doing for Switch and PC, but I really don't like the idea of having to re-buy Ultimatum to get a boxed copy of Paradox on something that isn't going to set my house on fire one day.

I hope they don't stop at the PS1/PS2 games, even though there's not much beyond that worth buying from them. I'd love some Guided Fate on my big boy computer.

@@Caspicum I feel like the PS1/2/P stuff is a lot less work to actually port over because the PS3's system architecture is infamously bad and all, so it might well be a factor in why NIS have kept so much of their PS3 lineup on the one platform exclusively.

For Super Robot Wars, 30 is the most readily available and generally most accesssible, but if you want an earlier one or one without the crossover element, get the fan translation of OG on the PS2, basically remasters two GBA games
@AizakkuAnalysis

The games have become way more accessible, now that the series just has an English translation even though it's not sold over seas. I've got all the entries of PS4, and each has an official English language option. Some are better than others, but it's still a nice touch.

You're exactly right. SRW30 is the most accessible. I enjoyed playing through it. I liked the ability to grind. It's only downside was the animation in combat was not as amazing or dramatic of older games liked T.
Super Robot Wars is actually REALLY easy to get in to like yeah it's a long running series but you really don't need to play the previous games except the OG series and even then the OG only have like 3 titles so far I Think like the first 2 SRW OG in the GBA were combined into a remake on the PS2 Super Robot Wars Original Generations(which got a Fan English Translation btw), theres also OG Gaiden which is a standalone expansion to the remake, OG 2nd on the PS3 and OG The Moon Dwellers. The Mainline Super Robot Wars titles are completely standalone except ones who got a sequel like the Alpha and Z series and if you're worried by the Animes you don't know in the rosters don't worry you really don't need to watch their Anime to understand their role in the story as it's mostly original and retreads of their Anime story with just some extra dudes from other Animes mixed in. And I think this is the only crossover series that acknowledge other characters outside their source material and events will not playout exactly like their Animes because of the existence of other Anime characters. Like Shinji in Evangelion will not be a bitch and actually grew some balls because there are other people he can relate with and be a positive role models with or this character will die in the Anime but there's an option to save them because the situation is now different and stuff like that.
I and many others have said it before, but the PS3 has such a diverse library of games. I keep discovering new games. Ah yes, Magus

@@Caspicum i think it's fun,it has a decent combat system and a nice post game dungeon with an insane final boss, the story is extremely anime and cliché, but i think it's part of its charm

About your point with auto heals after battles. I think xenoblade does it quite well, depending how much you grinded and which difficulty you choose of course, in the original Xenoblade chronicles i had, especially at the later parts, the felling everyone goes all out constantly.
Pretty good compilation! There's some obscure yet interesting stuff. Such disrespect for Tales though😞
The Legasista footage kinda reminded me of the Cladun games with how they have decimal damage values for whatever reason. Had some really weird character progression built in, too.

White Knight Chronicles 1 was so disappointing, not only was the narrative not that great, the player character felt so tacked on. Demon Souls on the other hand I think is best out of the Souls series and has the best ending out of any Souls game despite being so simple. You actually save the world like you set out to do instead of only delaying the inevitable or becoming a minion of (insert character here). I really appreciate the look back on all of these, even if I come from the opposite perspective for JRPGs, being more into the plot and characters instead of being focused on the gameplay.
Ιm still waiting for Tales of Friendship Power addition to Tales series. Oh, sorry, I forgot its actually the story of almost all Tales games...

Design of Folklore looks so cool, I never imagined! I guess same guys made original Genji, so yeah..
Super Robot Wars is hard to get into cuz in a franchise of like 70+ games only like 10 are translated into English officially or otherwise. And since the main draw of these games is seeing your favorite mecha anime crossover and try to piece together a plot out of 10 different anime, you probably won’t find much in it outside the at best pretty alright srpg gameplay. That being said, the best games to jump in with are probably T cuz it’s fairly new, well liked and in english, and Alpha Gaiden because it’s in english and is generally considered one of the best. However if you’d rather a story of non anime mechs then you should play Masou Kishin: The Lord Elemental for the SNES as it has great visuals, a decent yet charming story (translated into english), and is pretty much wholly contained within its own characters and world. You could also play OGs for the PS2, as it has also been fan translated into english and is a remake of OG1 and OG2 on GBA, featuring a cast made up of original characters from the last few games all in one plotline. Masou Kishin in particular has a ton of weird mechanics but OGs is fairly well liked, especially compared to other OG games

@@Caspicum lol good luck! My advice is to play on Conponent cables NOT hdmi becausr the input latency makes it impossible on HDMI! To unlock the final boss you need to own every weapon in game! Have fun!
Tales of Xillia 2 is the best Tales game and easily one of the best games of 7th gen. The reason the 3rd axis of movement was only available when holding a button was so that the rest of the time (99.9% of the time) you can use the entire controller for arte inputs without it janking your character all over the place at the same time. The fact that they did away with arte binding after this game is the primary flaw of the Tales series and the reason they still haven't made another one worth playing. They've literally traded away full control over your characters' attacks for not having to hold down L2 for a second if you want to free run, which you may need to do 3 times in a given playthru.
The only thing of note that The Guided Fate of Paradox has is that it was part of a collaboration with Love Live! School Idol Project's idol group μ's, lending voice work for some of the characters in the game, it even has the anime characters listed in the credits instead of the real VA's for some reason, but hey, at least it did give us some nice character songs because of that, but aside from that I dont think I have much good to say about it......

That was, without a doubt, the best review of Qoga I've seen... and not just because it's the only one. So much good stuff here. Thanks for this walk down marginal RPG memory lane. Edit: I should probably put some substance here. There are reasons for non degenerates to play Qoga... Notably some great music. The setting is also pretty interesting. You have to put up with way too much awkward dating sim/arpg hybrid to experience either, though. For a laugh have a look at the dlc they released for it.

Also if you take the time to unlock the custom Knight the final boss has a great change where he freaks out that your player character has one and you get to whoop his ass way easier than normal, it's awesome.
