Tiger 1 Early Prod. | Tamiya 1/35 | Part 1 |

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hello There!
Welcome back to a new video.
In this video I build and paint a Tamiya 1/35 scale Tiger 1 Early Production tank Sd.Kfz. 181. Taking inspiration from the photos in the video, this tank will be combined with a diorama (Part 2) as a street defensive fortification in the defence of Berlin 1945.
No need for an expensive kit, as most will be buried, and thus no need to build the suspension and tracks.

I just saw Part 2 of this build, and I'm glad to see the building process for the tank itself. About the only thing I would have done differently would have been to leave off the pioneering tools, tow cables, sheet metal fender skirts (4:37,) and bow machine gun, since the hull was to be buried. That said, your weathering of rust patina and the battle damage really makes this a stand-out model that helps get your diorama idea across! This is an old, inexpensive kit that has its origins way back in 1970, with various parts added over the decades. Though not up to current standards, there is still a place for these old, "legacy kits" for young new modelers to gain experience (with pocket money-friendly prices,) older modelers to make nostalgic builds (with pension-friendly prices,) and of course, projects like yours where an expensive, state-of-the-art kit would be unnecessary as well as cost-prohibitive. Thanks for sharing this with us! 82nd Like.

Glad you liked the video! 👍 I wasn't planning on attaching the "unnecessary" extras, but got I carried away with the build and by the time I realised my mistake it was easier to leave them attached.

Good video and build. Am currently building this very same kit but making into a Japanese version. Giving a Japanese camo scheme, markings, and a crew member. Japan bought 1 Tiger, 1 Panther D, and 2 versions of the Panzer III from the Germans during the war, though they were in France at the time and had no way to transport those vehicles to Japan. The Germans eventually took those vehicles back because they desperately needed them for their own use.

If anything I communicated to you made you angry, I am very sorry because I am Thai modeler, I have very little knowledge of English.

No this isn't Tiger 333. This is just a made up scenario that I've taken inspiration from the photos I showed at the beginning of the video.
