Excellent video! It's useful to see a build like this to pick up tips and issues beforehand. I do agree that 3D clamps really add a lot into a model. Also a nylon rope being "disgusting" and "disrespectful" is 100% accurate 😅

I built their first kit a while ago, the RM-5001. Clear to see this kit is based on that one, but a lot of corrections were made, like the fenders, which didn't follow the connection points on the hull. Rye Field Model used the Dragon 6252 as a template, that is undisputed, because i built the RM-5001 and the 6252 next to each other as a 'duo built' , so it had a good base for a good kit. Only disadvantage of RFM is the type of Styrene they use for their kits, it is not that soft/flexible as for example Dragon, and leaves no room for errors, it is much more fragile. So i know what this kit must be like, and the (trendy) 3D-printed parts are a nice bonus.

I've got a box in the DAK tiger kit might see if they fit n use the muzzle cover n smoke launches as have other's I can use for the Tiger kit I'm not to bothered with having built a couple there all the same kits apart from this one and the other new leningrad one grey n white camo panzer 4 bin

Mj miniatures tools clamps nightmare to remove! I bought there panzer 3 set the other day for the stug there better designed for removing than the Tiger's! Found a 80 tooth razor saw removes them in 1 peice now lucky you get loads! I will say though to save you some money and being very angry is do not touch ammos 3D printed clamps! I bought them to try 1.35 there just perfect for my 1.48 scale tiger I'm doing for my wee cousin! I don't do anything smaller than 1.35 Normally so was very angry when the panzer 3 and panzer 4 clamps from AMMO were more than half the size smaller than the mj miniatures clamps! I glued.1 of each kn plasicard next to one of the mj miniatures clamps and sent it to ammos fB complaining there wrong scale and not happy! So hopefully people read this and keep it in mind but if you do buy them good luck getting anything 1.35 slide through them! They'll be lost on a fender of 1.35!

Bordor model's have just relised this tiger 100 you can make the other one with the panzer 3 bin from the kit aswell inky the exhausts are different I've noticed they are slightly above the engine deck with a few luvers cut into them facing the engine deck it's strange? Maybe they have just stuck the wrong one's on hopefully there's more than one type on the sprues! I have thus RFM one you built I liked it alot! Different tracks on this initial tiger than other being mirrored so couldn't use the older ones it wouldn't be accurate for this version! T Rex have 3D printed one's you can get they'll be better than this new design! The kits pretty much the same way as the new Stug full interior kit, more time cleaning parts n filling ejection pin holes than building the thing! Could have definitely been better it's like they were in a hurry to get it out before miniart n Bordor model's or something lol

I read the sprokets were inaccurate this im looking into! I have the 3 in 1 dragon kit kit 6600 it it has this kit in it im building that first as its upgraded with new parts to build this tiger but dragons tiger 100 bix art itself is all wrong just crazy stuff!

I’m quite disappointed to see that RFM have changed from the really excellent standard included tracks on the earlier Tiger kits to something less durable. These were one of the best features of the RFM tiger. Also, the other kits had PE for tool clamps; these have gone now? (Even if they were the fiddliest thing ever made).

Enjoyed the video very much 👍👍👍 Those kit tracks are the same as the ones offered by AFV (aftermarket) from about 15 years ago. They to require a careful gluing technique but they can be just as effective as any other tracks. Poor RFM, modellers bitched incessantly about pins and guide horns with the two track containing over 900 parts and requiring a large block of time, so RFM gave us these "user-friendly" tracks. It's important to remember that the vast bulk of these kits will be sold to near novices and experts complaining about something they have no intention of ever using is just bitching (😁😁😁). I myself rate the T-Rex printed tracks over all the Tiger link-to-length (working) I've had over the years. Good to remember aftermarket tracks can run up to an additional half the cost of the original kit 😯😯😯.
