    These are some really great plug-ins and implementations I hadn't even used or seen! I hope you'll do more in depth videos to set these up!

    Good video mate thank you. Ignore all the dramatic commments about brightness really not that bad. If honest the music loop more the issue in being too loud and a distraction from your content.

    Thanks for the feedback! I’ve actually stopped putting music in my videos as it doesn’t seem to be adding much except distraction. I think my videos have been better for it.

    It's a feature of the Day Planner plugin I mentioned in the video. A link to the plugin can be found in the video description.

    The version I’m using is a fork of the original, so maybe that’s something only in the version I have? 🤷

    @@creadevlabs For the others: I just checked the standard released Day Planner plugin, and I DO have the bar as well. It just never stood out to me due to my global theme settings.

    I am new to Obsidian and this video has lot of good ideas, but I am not sure how to set this things up; like how do you set up bookmarks for today / this week (does it sync with calendar ?). Can you please elaborate or make video on how to use these plugins and queries that you provided overview of ? In any case, great video! (apart from the light mode 😁)

    Yes, I know, I'm an odd one with my light mode 😆 I've started making an Obsidian for Beginners course, the first of which can be found here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/gqd9qbmAmae2j5s.htmlsi=OpxP5ZLIlSc967MW. I'll be going more in depth on everything I showed in this video, plus even more throughout the series.

    Sorry about that. The screen capture was really dark when I pulled it into my editing software, so I brightened it up. Something for me to take note of in future videos.

    Why tags instead of properties?

  • @creadevlabs

    @creadevlabs

    Ай бұрын

    I use Dataview in a few places, and I prefer to use tags instead of the double colon for my queries. I also like using tags as I can use them to categorize things without having to create unique properties for different kinds of notes. I can also apply multiple tags in the single tag property, so things can have multiple categories without having to add different properties.

    When first building out a system I try out a bunch of different features to see what's useful to me. Over time I find the things that aren't working and remove them from my system. I have a framework I created called FIRST to help me with this process, which you can read about over on my website: creadevlabs.com/build-your-perfect-productivity-system-with-first/ I'm only using 3 community plugins, one of which I have stopped using since publishing this video. I try to stick to built in features as much as possible as I don't want things to get too complicated.
