@@smoker5989 Abby has more weapons but less tactical options. Ellie is meant to be played stealthy. Abby is meant to be played more aggressively. Abby also fights harder enemies than Ellie but Ellie has harder map layouts to navigate and fight your enemies through. The only thing I don’t like is that Abby can escape clickers with shivs.

What I do like about this game is how the characters aim down the sights perfectly compare to other 3rd person shooting games I’ve seen that doesn’t actually do aim down the sights

The bolt action rifle has the most satisfying loading/reloading sounds imo

I’m so happy that we get to keep ALL of our found guns in NG+ AND collect ammo for the SMG along the way instead of waiting till the end 😍😍😍

The semi auto and military pistols reloads could be better tbh but I love how the recoil feels in this game. It actually is hard to control. Love it.

Agreed. They got must guns right, the only one I noticed a problem with was the hunting pistol. it ejects the spent casing immediately after you shoot it, even through IRL you have to open the action to eject it. But that's just a nitpick, my main problem is the story.

The game though lacks bolt racking in some weapons, like Timmy's rifle. When they shot all the bullets, she just loaded in a new mag. Didn't even bother to rack the slide, and on the M9 the slide release seems to have no sound?

The double barrel shotgun with the shell carrier is not just for show Abby actually uses the shells from it

@@Superman-xs7pg Looks more like a hybrid of couple of SMGs (like a MP5 style stock, and the receiver almost similar to MPX) Ps. I don't think that's a SCAR patterned charging handle, if it was, there will be separate, one as an ejection port, one as a charging handle.

This game is beautiful

I don't get how the bladed melee weapons like the machete & kukri break so easily in this game, you'd think they'd last a lot longer than 6 or 7 hits.

This game is a truly masterpiece of gaming industry, the story and characters are the most underated for the 50% people who play it, Unbelievable.

They should have let you keep broken melee weapons and let you repair them as you go. A crowbar isn’t gonna break and neither is a machete.

Fg 98 it sorta is. The gameplay is perfectly fine when it comes to this game and that’s why some people (Sorta but not much) like the combat. It’s the story that had problems. Other than that it’s just a mediocre cover shooter with some basic stealth mechanics with a hell of a world to explore in great detail. The first game also suffered from that problem but the story really REALLY carried tlou. I think the problem was that naughty dog was getting to comfortable with using this type of gameplay style. You know the “Gears of war” type of gameplay style. Even uncharted suffered with it to an extent and not to hate on Uncharted but their were actually times I got turned off from the game because it just felt kinda boring because of the gameplay loop and I ended up forcing myself to up the difficulty to have fun. But the reason I ended up continuing to play is because they tried to spice it up in any way they could. Tlou2 doesn’t have that really. Sure you can jump and lay down in grass and all that shit but if I wanted to do that I would just play ghost recon or Metal gear and stuff like that was had already exited years prior or hell even play the evil within 2 which is a great underrated game that I recommend you to check out. They expanded the gameplay but didn’t improve it. It would have been cool if they improved the stealth where depending on the surface your stepping enemies are less or more likely to hear you and staying in the dark actually mattered to stay in stealth. But then when gun fights happens it’s still felt like I was playing a game from years ago and like with uncharted I had to up the difficulty. Only difference is that you have less ammo and have to try and land your shots correctly or risk not having ammo for the next encounter. I don’t mind having less ammo since this is technically a survival horror game but to be honest I don’t really count it as survival horror because of the gameplay. It’s more action horror if you look close enough. And then there’s the story and holy shit was it a ride. Barely anything made sense unless it’s to progress the plot. Obvious plot armor for characters that had shallow personalities other than Ellie or Abby. New characters constantly introduce end up dying or being forgotten later. Lots of plot holes with no fix’s to explain them. And a very VERY Cringe sex scene that made players feel like bleaching their eyes. And the story with the very generic “Violence is bad” lesson being the end of the story and to be honest and don’t dog pile me on this. I would have preferred Abby to be the protagonist rather than Ellie. Now let me explain before you all start to dog pile me. They could have Kept Abby in her group as people who are just looking to survive and we get to see how The world is like through another person point of view rather than Ellie. It could have given us more time to know the characters better since their would be less characters getting introduced in every cutscene and dying 3 minutes later. They Could have Redesigned Abby to look skinnier but still keep herself toned enough to not look weird with also changing her personality so she isn’t just some murderous killer and actually like her. And to get rid of the revenge story plot that no one cares for and just replace her as someone that is just trying to survive the world. And then at a certain part of the story Abby would have been really far away from her base and she was in a bit of a pickle involving infected where she ended up getting trapped but just so happened to come across Ellie and Joel and helped save her and escape from infected. After a while they arrived at Tommy’s camp where Abby could rest for a bit and hand with Ellie to get along with each other by you know going hunting for food and exploring the city for supplies. And then comes in the cult of the game. For example let’s say the cult attacked Tommy’s camp and Abby and everyone else had to fight them off. After that Abby would tell Ellie about her group since for example they could have been attacking Abby’s group as well and have been trying to find ways to take them down. The two groups would work together and help take down the cult and storm their base after Abby was able to find a way back to her group along with people from Tommy’s camp like obviously Ellie and Dina. The two groups would come up with a plan to take down the cult with them storming it before having a final boss confrontation with the cults leader who let’s say was Ex-Military and Ellie and Abby would try to take him down with the final phase of the fight ending with both characters losing their weapons and were forced to try and sneak attack the leader since he was probably the only one with a gun and Abby trying to hold him back and keep the gun off Ellie while she tried to use her knife to stab him in the neck but would fail since The leader would constantly break out of Abbys hold and aim the gun at Ellie making her try to find covor. Do this a few times before Ellie finally managed to stab him in the gut forcing him to drop his weapon with the fight seemingly over. But right as they turned their backs on them the leader grabbed his gun and tried to take one of the characters with him. Let’s say he tried to shoot Abby But Ellie would try to block the bullet only for Joel to dive across her with him ending up taking the bullet with Abby running towards the cult leader before kicking him in the face and grabbing his gun before finally double tapping him to make sure the leader stays dead but unfortunately Joel ends up succumbing to his wounds. The final cutscene would be of Elie burying Joel in the center of Tommy’s base with Ellie mourning him and Dina and Abby trying to comfort her. It’s still a sad ending but it won’t make you feel as empty as the actual ending. And I barely thought up of this stuff right now but it doesn’t matter since we got what we got and we can’t change that. Sorry if this was really long I just wanted to get my thoughts of this game out.

@@dulubleteeeff82 well I plan on making a game and already writing the script. If you want tips try to write fanfiction but not the cringe kind or make up your own story. Believe me it helps a lot if you plan on being a writer and could help you improve your writing especially since writing fan fiction does technically help improve your writing.
