In all fairness, they definitely can buff him for the initial release but I wouldn't be surprised if it's not enough to make him a serious threat.

I still don't understand why they butchered his combo game like that, the best part of watching Kazuya gameplay is seeing what kinds of combos each player goes for. combo flexibility is way more important than one might think.

That's actually the reason I started playing tekken 7 Seeing thoose crazy unique kazuya combos made me want to do it too. Been playing for 2 years now and the cbt kinds hurt

It's a mixture of the nerfs and the fact most people are still trying to play T7 Kazuya, watch crazydongpal and his highlights are still fun to watch because he doesn't just do the same two combos over and over again like TMM, Dark Prince or PGF.

Can't wait to see your optimal Kazuya gameplay once the game is out! Despite the nerfs I'm sure it would still be amazing to see you bring out the best of Kazuya in T8

I gotta say: Watching TMM’s Kazuya go to work despite the nerfs is a wonderful sight to see. Kazuya’s situation is literally “If you grind for me, I will grind for thee.”

The fact that Kazuya's Heat Engager where he slams his hand to the ground with db2 doesn't hit anywhere near, and Jin does his with the f2 animation will never not make me cackle

I think you are thinking of Kazuya's "heat burst" and comparing it to Jin's heat engager. Jin's heat burst is very similar to Kazuya's.

Beta male Kazuya is probably going to remain like this for the final release. It’s going to be a missed opportunity to not play Kazuya on his death bed. If you’re going to go all out with nerfs get creative.

Why should they adjust the ranking points? Because of the two people who would cheese they system? Rank deathmatches were hella fun in T7 and I learned so much more in matchups than in T6 or TTT2 bc of the endless rematch option

Ive always been into the Mishimas in the games, heihachi or kaz. I wont change even if hes nerfed

22:44 to make that animation more fun they should try to make a little more distinction between characters, not like a different one for each, just like 7 or 8 for the whole roster, and kazuya and dv jin should get a special one since, you know, they grow/have wings, that would be the best time to use them.

Love how someone pointed out that all hits sound like shotgun blasts. Is very true and sounds like a glitch cos they're all so similar. Doubt they'll change it so late though. Even normal jabs have the exact same sound as the EWGF so it just sounds so boring and not like a special move

I’m so shit with Mishima in general (Hwoarang main), but I’ve always had fun playing them cuz I see them as a strong chars when you have good basics, good movement and good understanding of what is happening during a set. The point is, in other games Mishima didn’t had a lot of tool to be s tier with their own moveset, but it was a combination of knowledge of the moveset and player’s brain. Now I feel like evryone got boosted asf and kazuya is leaved there no matter what. Hope this situation changes during the various seasons, praying for kaz mains 🙏

The range buff on his df+1 db+4, uf 4, ff+2, com mand throw does more damage at the wall. I guess he is arguably a way better Kazumi then her strongest version in 7 (S2 right?) The final character to be revealed may inherit Kazumi and Heihachi moves (probably no tiger though :( ).

I sincerely doubt that Namco would leave Kazuya nerfed up like this. And, indeed, Kazuya looks great. He’s always looked hot as hell, with a bumpin’ body. Lookin at Kaz, I can see why Jun came back for him.

@@NYG5 he never had a i15 mini launcher, he had a i15 NC knd into guaranteed stuff And when devil he had a proper i15 launcher, now he has what looks like a devil df1,2 but isn't. It's a mid,mid safe ob Not NC, only counterhit knd for no oki. He has a i15 mid/high that heat engages which can be used for heat dash when already in heat, turning it into a i15 launcher. I don't actually mind these specific changes, df1,df2 being safe ob means the opponent can't always duck df1,4 so you can throw these out more safely.

@@princekanbatsu2301 well in T6/ Tag 2 df1,4 was a mini boundable launch, T7 df1, 2 into steel pedal was a bit like a mini launcher, but it seems like he's got jack shit for a 15f standing block punisher, again.

I would also settle for these nerfs if they gave Kaz legacy T5 style clean hit properties on CD1, DF2 block, CH df3, WS2, CH old school uf2 spinning backfist.

Even tho he's not that good I hope you keep playing kaz.. the only reason I come here is to watch some kazuya gameplay I hope he gets a buff
