What a shame this track has had to close. One of the best and most entertaining banger tracks on KZread, particularly as many of the cars are almost straight off the street.

Similar shit happened to race track in Lublin, Poland. in 2006 First flats were made near track (100 meters away and dumb ppl bought them, presumably knowing it will be noise here) then track was finally forced to be shut down due to many complains. EDIT: It was really shameful because there are/were only a few serious/professional circuits in Poland.

To say I'm upset and disappointed by hearing this is a understatement bloody council planning committee 🤮🤮🤬

Y'all have my condolences (from the good ol USA). I loved watching the psychopaths that jumped and "raced" here. It was my favorite banger track, brutal and hilarious. Good luck and god bless y'all.

I was hoping to come see that with my own eyes one day. I have to forget that... 😥 Sadness

What... a... shame! 'Angmering' was always a 'trademark of quality' for me and I haven't found another place on KZread yet where they use roadworthy vehicles (including windscreen and the lot) for nudge & spin action. Perhaps not as much speed as in other places and without the excitement of follow-ins and all that stuff, but I loved watching the videos (and often watch old ones again and again), so Angmering will stay 'alive' for me.

Love that the Jag still had the airbags activated. I have visions of classical music playing on the CD player as it took off.

I'm personally not the biggest car guy or whatever but... damn, i still loved watching these car jump competitions... 🙏❤😢

What a pity this wonderful events won´t take place here anymore. It´s really sad... I hope they will find another place to go on. God bless you all.

This place was a massive part of my childhood. The smell of the fresh doughnuts being made as you walk past all the cars being warmed up was great. That and being covered in carbon and crap from the track after a full days racing, water was almost black in the shower! Good times.

I was there and I loved it! I think we saw you filming. If you were wearing a black top and stood on a step ladder for the races then that’s you 🙂 I love this camera angle!

What are the odds that this will go the same way as Arena Essex? Bought out for a housing development, only to find that the soil is contaminated with oil, and it costs too much to fix, so the houses never get built, and the track is left abandoned

Arena has a massive sewer underneath that cannot be built on for houses without major work being done. Nothing to do with oil.

Been watching from the US for a couple years. End of an era. We'll have a beer for Angmering!

So sad to hear. These events look so spectacular, always a pleasure to watch. Maybe it will continue somewhere in the future!

No big loss it's a 2.0 CDTI absolutely shite engines. Was probably losing oil pressure like they all do so decided to send it off this way.

It's sad to read that this was the last one and to learn that the track will become a housing project. That's happened too often here in the states. Friends have asked me what I've been doing with my extra spare time, now that I'm retired from my job--they don't understand that watching these jumping videos and the Oval Banger videos are important.... Thanks for the laughs!

Oh no! Grew up near Arlington circuit. Love the bangers. Got into your channel about a fortnight ago. The kids love it. So wanted to come to the real thing (we're still fairly local). Long live brilliant, slightly silly traditions like this in general! Maybe the car jump will reappear somewhere else one day. Traditions that go sometimes return!

What a shame to hear the track will close. People from all over the world love this track, and love to watch the races on it. It's a real shame nothing can be done against to people in charge of the area pushing their weight around. I'd personally hire a lawyer and take them to court over it. This track deserves to live, without a doubt. In the mean time, I'm glad we had one last send off for everyone involved. Thank you all for the entertainment.

Someone should 3d scan the track or take 100s of photos so it can be digitally preserved. Look up assetto corsa photogrammetry and how you can make an area with some video/photos.

stuff the housing. plenty of other land to occupy. but this? THIS is a rarity... i love it. me n the missus were having a right laugh at these clips. sad to see its ended... and people wonder why the hooning goes to the streets. 😔

Always has to be yet more dullard housing that no-one can afford, ruining things. And it's gone & ruined this track here, which has brought a lot of happiness to many, now being told to bugger off for the usual unaffordable housing nonsense. Hopefully it'll end up somewhere else & can continue, but either way it is just a waste of a great place, being taken over by the usual garbage as mentioned before.
