The Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre

Ойын-сауық

There are some pretty bad 911 calls out there. This one was sad, and of course the incident itself is disturbing, but it's not as nerve-wracking as some of the ones I've heard. One that'll always stay with me was Christopher Rains' call. The POS shot his infant baby in the face with a .45 right in front of the mother as he held her, all because the child's mother didn't want to be with him and admitted to seeing another man. Rains had actually asked her if she'd seen the other guy's junk, FFS, either shortly or immediately prior to murdering the child. Then he dropped the baby on the floor and told her, "I hope it was worth it." He then immediately called 911 and confessed everything, sounding for the most part remorseful but also spending a lot of the call whining that he was going to jail for the rest of his life, and saying that he was going to kill himself. There are a few points where you can hear the child's mother wailing in the background, and it's truly heartbreaking. The 911 operator was amazing, though. She was able to speak to that POS like she actually cared about his life, and she had the most compassionate understanding tone as she told him not to hurt himself or anyone else. She was not only a consummate professional, but also an angel.

It wouldn’t harm people with the mindset you portray to try and be empathetic for a child. Jfc, have some compassion for humankind.

Thank you Mike for speaking with a normal voice. So many of these KZreadrs that cover mysteries use this fakey creepy droning voice that drops down low at the end of every sentence, and it drives me crazy. Also, they cannot seem to construct a grammatically correct sentence, which is also very distracting. Your presentation is MUCH better, and you know how to speak clearly and also speak in correct sentences. You do your research, deliver compelling mysteries, and yet maintain a sense of humor without being offensive. I appreciate that. I know what I said sounds so basic, and yet you are one of the very few that manage to get it right.
