Absolutely stunning. I watched this video with tears in my eyes. Everyone can point a camera and take pictures, but they don't necessarily "see" what they are shooting. I believe you do see, and feel the beauty of every scene you shoot. Thank you so much for sharing your view of St. John"s.

Wow Leanne, I love how you captured the colours, textures and beauty of this island! The music was a perfect fit with the video. Newfoundland has its our unique culture. I’ve been however to the other coast. Thank you, every moment was beautiful!

She was at the Marine Institute for Marine Environmental Studies. She loved it there, almost stayed but at the end of her four years I was diagnosed with breast cancer and she made her way home to Ontario. We are all well now and happy to be together.
I absolutely love these Views you are putting together of different places in Canada. Thank you so much Leanne. I intend watching them all more than once!

A stunning view. The old buildings and the coloured houses together with the rusty flaking ports views juxtaposed with peaceful nature. 🇬🇧

Such a simple beauty within the ordinary of life and you captured it so well in this view, this meditation. Again tears rose up from somewhere deep. Thank you for sharing this lovely, somber place.

Just moved back to St. John’s last March, after 21 years in Edmonton/Sherwood Park. The culture and color here is amazing. All you who are wishing to come….COME, see for yourself .❤️🧶💪

Another neat acoustic vlog you've shared with us ;) You picked up on many colorful details - from the forsythia about to burst into spring bloom in front of the yellow trim house... to the pink beret, perfectly transitioned to a similar color match of the pigeon's feet... I so appreciate it when others see the nuance of things...! 💗

Excellent scenes and beautifully sync to music of inner beauties of St. John and Newfoundland! It is so zen and peaceful to watch and think! Thanks so much for capturing it all and sharing it on your podcast, Leanne! What a treat to be able to watch it first thing in the morning Sunday at 3ish am. I usually wake up 3-4 am to knit without being interrupted at all! What an awesome start to my weekend! When I was visiting Montreal last month, I was hoping that you was the stewardess for my flights! Unfortunately, you were not. Perhaps in future visits to Canada (which is rare), I’ll be lucky enough! 😍😍

Newfoundland is at the top of most memorable places I have visited. 49 yrs ago my husband & I camped our way through Newfoundland for our honeymoon. Thank you for showing us just how beautiful that island is ❤️

Thanks Leanne for such a heartfelt view of St. John’s. I loved the water, as I grew up on Lake Huron and miss it for sure. I loved the old cemetery too. ❤

This an absolutely fabulous video! 😍 It looks like you issued a quarantine order before filming and most everyone complied. Love the serenity of being able to walk the streets alone and film whatever caught your eye. I'm big on walking around cemeteries and enjoyed that little snippet. I have only been impressed with your.videos. The first time I watched was your episode at Comox/Cumberland when we were nearby. Just visiting first time to maritimes sept-Oct made me feel like I was out of time, in an era from before. Respectful people, steady, no drama. Oh gosh. NFLD still on my bucket list. Stunning. I love viewing architecture in other countries. The nature scenes are simply breathtaking.
Thank you, Leanne, for this deeply meditative walk through an extraordinary place. It felt very peaceful, and at the same time the roughness of the landscape resonates with me. And the ordinary lives lived in the middle of it all (and no doubt it must have been pretty hard in older times). Love those colourful houses, as well!

Thank you for this video and for showing more than the tourist sites. I have only been to Newfie twice but each was a joyous visit. My Dad, an AC pilot, introduced this wonderful part of our country to me in the ‘50s as a small child but I still remember so many details. About 10 years ago I had the opportunity to go back. The history and the people are wonderful. But your interpretation is stunning. Makes me want to go again!

The opening shot with what appears to be a Mærsk ship made me think of my dad, who used to sail with Mærsk and who for a period of time would sail between St Johns and Boston

What an absolutely fantastic place! I was like wait, finish my row, start over n pay attn. everything was just so great! The path and moss growing around the giant tree in the cemetery, the tags, the house colors…lol I would like a purple leaning blue house please! Sigh; just fantastic all the way around! PEI and St. John’s are both on my list now! Thanks for this!
