Thank you Jennifer! 🥰 I have to be honest, in the last 7 days I have barely picked it up to work on the body… I just want to bask in the glow of the beautiful yoke and not think about the “what ifs” of the rest of the sweater not turning out as I hope. But there’s no turning back now - we can do this together!
Oh my goodness! The Halibut sweater is absolutely magnificent!

I am so thankful you are here! Oh my goodness I definitely wish Top Drawer Yarn Studio (and the Prince George knitters) weren’t a 1hr 20min flight away. I just LOVED it there.
Fabulous video! I lived in Prince George from 1984 to 2003 when my husband and I retired to Parksville on Vancouver Island. We raised our 3 sons there and found PG a great place to live and raise a family (always something to do) Initially there was a yarn store there but the owner eventually retired and then the nearest yarn store was way out towards Vanderhoof which was too far in the winter. So, I might have to take a trip back to PG to see old friends and to visit that truly wondrous yarn store. It looks out of this world. Thank you for the lovely video. Great memories!
@theknittystew

Oh yes! It is a fantastic shop, and that’s not just me saying that because I adore the owner. It really is spectacular. Where do you shop being in Parksville? Is there a yarn shop in Nanaimo that you go to?

Leanne, I am so happy I stumbled upon your little show! I've watched them all, they are such a joy to sit and watch while I knit and have my coffee. I live in Chilliwack, one town over from Abbotsford. This summer we drove our little trailer to Dawson City, oh my, such beauty. On our way back I was able to do a little shopping at Top Drawer Yarns. How wonderful. 88 Stitches used to be my "zen" yarn shop to visit. The girls in Prince George, that shop is right up there ❤. I just love seeing where you travel, and your knitting is lovely. Thank you for what you're creating, in this community! I feel very kindred in spirit! As I age (in my early 60's) I am so appreciating a good sunrise and sunset! Barbara

I’m knitting a pattern similar to the Easy Eyelet sweater scarf, for a friend. It’s called the Foxy Sweater Scarf. It is written to knit the sleeve in the round and then switch to flat for the scarf part which is a wavy lace pattern. It uses four colours for some chunky stripes. I’ve never knit something like this before but it’s working out nicely. It’s kind of making me want to knit one for myself 😂 Your daughter will love hers!

You’re so sweet to reply. Glad to be here! ❤🧶❤
Hi Leanne, thank you so much for that footage of Connor over in Hawaii. I have never been there and I probably won’t get there now but I am enjoying your visit there and I can’t say enough about all the hand that you’ve shown that is all died by people that you like know, and other than that I forgot to tell you that when I was eight years old cause I was born in 1933 so I was brought up during the second wall, and I wanted to be in the Air Force and I was too young and I was only 11 years old and at the time and I did have an Air Force uniform, and as I got older, I was always too short anyway I couldn’t have made it, but that was always my first love to be in the service. I had five brothers in the service to each branch and well that only makes five, but there was six but he had an accident and had to leave so, anyway I won’t keep you any longer for this little peace of mind and I’m just enjoying it so much because it’s cold. He is still in Massachusetts and haven’t been out to sit or anything so I’m just having a nice day and crocheting my Afghan, making with granny quiz and trying to use up some that I don’t particularly care for so I would love to buy some of the wall that you show it’s just so beautiful andI will try along the way maybe to get some so have a happy day as super super safe flight and get back here to us
What a fun podcast with such great juxtaposition of locations - both beautiful! I just may have to cast on that Halibut....

Aww 🥰!!! Thank ewe!!
Great way to start the day! I hope you can make that trip to Hawaii again in the middle of winter. You sweater is lovely! I have finished Sven, couple of tips before doing the Kitchener on the feet I recommend stuffing the lower half much easier, and I was not crazy about the beard in the directions what I did instead was stuffed the lower half of head with some fleece the top of head with regular poly fill, then using crochet hook randomly pulled out bits of the fleece. I have a picture on Ravelry if you want to see him. He is a Christmas gift for my Aunt. Happy knitting and safe travels
