If your reality needs a PG rating because death is just tooo scary, then don't come onto KZread! Go hang out at Hulu Kids or whatever. Tell your guardian that you don't like thinking about people dying and they can help you set internet restrictions on whatever device they are letting you use... You coming over here and crying about how reality isn't living up to your expectations? Believe it or not, that actually isn't helpful. Maybe don't force yourself to engage with facts until you can control your feelings a bit better. 😂 Life sucks right now, I really know. That's why we are working on actually making it better. I know this is a trivial thing but I hate it when “I’ll go to Harvard because my boy friend is there” is a plot device. Unless you are a legacy admit or your parents donate a building getting into Harvard is fucking hard! You need an almost perfect GPA, great SAT scores, glowing recommendations, etc. Not to mention unless your parents are loaded you need a scholarship because it’s insanely expensive. People who aim for those kind of top rate schools don’t spend most of their free time on dances and dating. They spend it on studying their butts off to do great on the SATs, on extra curricular activities related to science or art or whatever their planned major is.

I really hate the way the movie tries to trick you into thinking Noah is cheating the entire movie by making Chloe look like she’s trying to get at him. Even in moments where it’s only the two of them, the movie makes it look like they’re on dates and are all over each other. I think for a movie that characterizes male/female friendships so well, it’s funny that they do so bad with Noah and Chloe. My absolute biggest problem is WHO THE HELL BRINGS A RANDOM ASS NEW FRIEND TO THANKSGIVING DINNER ACROSS THE COUNTRY (for such a lazily written reason too). I get wanting to surprise your audience but purposefully misleading them is just bad writing. 😔👌

I think my personal list of dislikes in this movie is: ○ Elle's character arc in the previous movie going to trash, because she just fucking can't be honest with Lee for some reason. ○ Kissing booth isn't even relevant to the plot at all anymore. They just used it as a place to make up and that's all. In the first movie, their charity was more important, but in this, it was just there. ○ Elle not having money for Harvard while she lives in Cali. We know the prices, we saw her house, why is this movie lying to us. ○ Personally, I think her jealousy was executed poorly. Yet again, we already went with that in the first movie, just talk to him. Why are you just going into a spiral of overthinking with those random clues he's cheating that can be easily explained? It just ends up being annoying. ○ Bitch you saw her in his room when you talked with him on zoom or skype, idk I don't remember. Why aren't you putting 2+2 when you find the earring? They hang out in his room sometimes. And not just with this girl alone, all his friends. Even if the movie ended up resolving this issue by saying she slept in his bed when he was away for some reason, the fact that she didn't make the connection or have legit reasons to justify it annoyed me. So much talk about trust and she has none of it. Also it was oddly convenient that the earring did all of those gymnastics to end up under the bed like that. Or maybe it just never happened to me, idk, but I don't feel he would end up so far in even if they humped on the bed, yet it did when she just slept. ○ He really did forgive her easy af, huh. What do you guys see in her to have such a soft spot bruh. She's so annoying, but whatever. ◘ Before you guys start flaming me, most of my points are based on my opinions, you don't have to agree and I actually would love to hear what you have to say.

First of all Happy belated birthday! Rachel, Marco and Noah deserve so much better than Elle and Lee. Good on Noah for actually growing as a person and not cheating or fighting Marco. This movie did not need to be 2hrs and 12 minutes. Cut a montage or two as well as the senior field day stuff and Ollie and miles's c-plot, and you know people could solve a lot of problems by actually communicating, get it down to like 90 minutes. Also from what we heard of that essay, no way is it making that admin officer tear up cause she is not taking her time reading it and it is not getting her into Harvard and looking to tuition and living cost, that money would last her one year tops even if she kept the whole 50 grand. And didn't she learn that she shouldn't lie to her friends last movie? Also so did that airport have like no security checks? Do Harvard dorms actually look like that? Why didn't chloe spill the truth at the most awkward thanksgiving ever? Does Mr. Flynn not exist? Noah, its nice that you want them to be friends but are you stupid? Why doesn't Elle ask the Flynns for help with college, they are like family to her and they can clearly afford it. How is it in a movie about applying to college, we have no idea what anyone is going to study? Who leaves their phone at home when they go to a concert? Who just answers their friend's phone and tells their girl that her boyfriend is out with another girl?

Thank you so much for doing the recap. Sometimes for movie reviews where I haven't seen the movie but I want to watch the commentary it gets super hard to follow! You're always really consistent with not forgetting to tell us what tf is going on plot-wise

me and my ex boyfriend had around the same height difference and it was really annoying how people felt bothered by it, as if we weren't allowed to date lol so I think it's nice to normalize that not everyone is medium height. Except for that, this and the first movie are just awful

Juliana Ascenco Lopes - Yeah, really. It's kinda ridiculous that height difference gets bashed so much if a girl happens to be short or a guy happens to be tall (or vise versa). Like, if they're in the same age bracket and fully capable of a consensual relationship, who cares, lol?

I'm 6 foot 4 inches tall and I can confirm that just picking something up from the ground is a little painful to my back. And kissing a girl lower than my height would also be painful. Also, I guess I'll never kiss a girl like ever, cause I'm a gamer and i'm proud of it. I'm lonely

Rania FERHAT Yes, there are some positives being tall, but there are some negatives like finding a car that fit your size, finding pants, and picking up things like I mentioned in my original comment. Edit: Forgot to mention, low door frames and low ceilings are a nightmare

I agree with a lot of your points about Lee and the girlfriend- and I DEFINITELY feel like he's a shit boyfriend- but, at the same time, a lifelong friend should never be completely transplanted just because you start dating somebody. A middle ground needs to be found.
