The Kings of Fun: NBA on the Run

Спорт

This year marks the Kings 30th anniversary season in Sacramento and the 15th anniversary of their famous Run of Fun. During the post-Jordan era, the Kings team from 1999-2002 led the league in scoring, entertaining and ovations - both at home and on the road. The league showcased the Kings in numerous ways-- with the maximum number of national television appearances, a series of special programs on NBC and by scheduling international games in Japan and China. The Greatest Show on Court Sacramento Kings under Rick Adelman and Pete Carril had a great style of basketball in their heyday between 1999 and 2004. Unfortunately, they will continue to be overlooked by other teams that have similar unselfish, team styles before and after them like Red Auerbach's Boston Celtics in their omega dynasty between 1957 and 1969, Red Holtzman and the New York Knicks between 1970 and 1973, the Showtime Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980s, Phil Jackson and the Triangle offense with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s and the three-peat Lakers between 2000 and 2002, and the Splash Brother era Golden State Warriors of today. Those teams won clutch playoff games like Games 7s en route to NBA titles to go along with their own brand of unselfish, team basketball style.
