Kings made the NBA easy and fun to watch. If you pass the ball more often, you will get easier buckets.. This team was incredible! One of the best of the last 16 years and they didn't even win a championship.

Saw both of them and I have to say, I prefer the Kings even with no championship. The Kings might be the best team in my eyes that played actual basketball. That is a personal opinion.

samy29987 It's a shame that Sacramento couldn't sustained their mental toughness against the Lakers. Usually people consider that series was rigged in Lakers favor, but if I'm remember correctly the TV ratings was achieving an all time record on those days, so the NBA simply demanded for that series to be stretched (basically the exame exact scenario of the last finals). The kings was the superior team, so the referees protect LA even more in consequence. Game 7 was clean, but Sacramento was already demoralized, such a shame.

Wow! This is probably the best passing display I've seen on a NBA basketball team!

could watch this all day. The chemistry displayed here is amazing. beautiful basketball.

2014 spurs

The most amazing part about the King's style of playing is their selflessness. Up til that point, NBA's been grooming superstars. Jordan, Kobe, Iverson were worshipped like gods. It was all about individual players hitting the buzzer and saves the day. That was the narrative people are used to. But when the Kings came around with a bunch of nobodies(except for CWeb) passing the ball, sharing the ball, and the concept of the team being the star, people were immediately drawn to it. They introduced a new style of playing, a breath of fresh air. Not only they were entertaining but also brought the fun back into professional sports.

Divac wasn't a nobody, neither was Peja (well he was for those who didn't follow european basketball at the time) but i see what you're getting at and i agree.

The Kings put on a basketball clinic against other teams. They just pick and roll, give and go, fast break, alley oops, and shoot threes all day. They were very unselfish and fundamental when it comes to passing the ball, but they did entertain the crowd by bringing the "mix tape" playground ball to the league. They were averaging 120 points per game and boy did they run and gun. Webber, Stojakovic, Williams, Divac, Christie, Bibby, Anderson and Jackson. They were the Harlem Globetrotters of the NBA. They should have won an NBA Title.

I assumed the literally robbed referred to Robert Horry.

If not for Stern's vice-like grip on the league and his insistence on manufacturing dynasties and ONLY promoting certain teams, The Kings would've won a championship. They were phenomenal. Also, that no look behind the back full court bomb Stojakavic threw is one of the most ridiculous passes in NBA history.

It was J-Will and C-Webb and Divac and Bibby and almost every other player that was on that team that made it what it was. Probably one of the most unselfish basketball I have ever watched. Nobody enjoyed passing and making plays more than Kings. They could not give a flying .... over the stat-sheet or having this many points. It was just beautiful basketball played right. One of the best teams ever assembled in history I say.

WASNT EVEN an NBA fan, and they were just toying with some team and i literally became an instant fan…. it was post jayson williams, but Mike Bibby was my favorite player

The team chemistry they had that year was just amazing

if there was ever a definition of an unselfish team , this would definitely be the team .

I think I have watched this video at least 200 times.

They played beautifully and with so much soul. That's my favorite NBA team right there.

Somebody email the Kings and tell them to hit the rewind button back to 2000-2002. Personally, I thought they had revolutionized the way NBA basketball was going to be played. Unfortunate no one has continued on that particular style of play, as it was not only fun to watch, but equally as effective.

Jason Williams...... What a man..... Look at how his playing style influenced his teammates, one of the greatest PG ever, and the greatest passer ever, not even one of.....

I was a Kings fan as a yougin' before Lebron came up. I'll never forget that last WCF they were in vs the Lakers...so heartbreaking. But I didn't get to watch them that often and seeing these highlights, I wish I could hit the rewind button and go back and see them play...the chemistry and passing ability by these guys is insane. Beautiful basketball.

Been a Sonics fan all my life, but remember this squad like the palm of my hand. Jason Williams, Stojakovic, Mike Bibby, fraking Vlade Divac, C Webb, Doug Chrisrtie, Hedo Turkoglu, Bobby Jackson, Pollard, Brad Miller, Jon Barry. Timeless classic.

I have every right to bring up the Splash Brother era Golden State Warriors and their own brand of unselfish team basketball because they won NBA titles to go along with their ball movement. Ditto for Red Auerbach's Boston Celtics and their up-tempo style, the New York Knicks in thr 1970s, the Showtime L.A. Lakers in the 1980s, the Triangle offense with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s and the NBA's latest three-peat with the Lakers in the 2000s and the San Antonio Spurs in 2014. BTW, I didn't make this video. I use an orange j for my KZread, not green.

I love watching these highlights. This is what truly unselfish basketball looks like, so sad that more teams don't try to play like this these days. You could literally SEE the team chemistry they had.

That was what made them really really good. Their passing skills. The whole starting 5 could pass the basketball.

The NBA (Stern) destroyed the most electrifying team and their style of play in favor of superstars like Shaq and Kobe (and, later, LeBron).

Assburgers rarity?....It's none existent and starts in HS and AAU. Marc Gasol, Paul, Boogie, Towns, and AD are the only good bigs in the league. Sadly. They all know the value of passing. Taj Gibson is a pretty good passer too. Imagine if Lamarcus Aldridge was a better passer. Blake. DeAndre.

NBA champions in 2002 and 2003 if not for the refs and webber's injury in in 2003. God they were so fun. The last real artistic team in the NBA...

Looking back, this team really did seem naked to not have won at least one ring. Unlike many others, this team PASSES THE BALL!

They were the best team in that time. From the starters to bench they like to pass the ball around and entertained the love of the game no one has ever seen. JWill bring the street game to NBA. They were entertain to watch every where Sacramento King go, man it was fun watching them 👍❤👍.

I lost interest in the NBA for a few years in my teens until I saw some Jason Williams highlights on Sportscenter during his rookie year. I made it a point to watch their next game and they instantly became my favorite team. You can sit and watch every game on any given night now and you might not see one example of passing like this, yet it was routine for them. Plus the video didn't even really have any of Brad Miller's passes and he had a ton of great ones.

should have been champions but due to corrupt refereeing and nba rigging they had no chance nba was rigging playoffs to build kobe's legacy and market him nba did not agree with the kings style of play and did not want to be represented by that style especially as champions and if you notice the nba did not like Jason Williams style of play and made him tone it down after he left the kings his play changed

Hilariously enough Golden state and the Spurs have won with this type of system play. Now look at them 3x gsw. 2014 spurs. Guess pioneers are needed to recognize how the game should be played to win chips down the road.

Yeah, the only teams today like them are the Spurs and at times the Hawks, but neither are nearly as flashy as the Kings. At least J-Will got a ring later in Miami lol
