The Kills - Waiting For The Future (Short Film)
Музыка
THE KILLS, WAITING FOR THE FUTURE - a documentary directed by Philip Andelman, with Jamie Hince, Alison Mosshart. Produced by Partizan in 2011.
A meditation on the stark contrasts between the private loneliness of life on tour and the adrenaline rush of performing before thousands of screaming fans, Waiting For the Future sets The Kills' Jamie Hince and Alison Mossheart against a backdrop of desolate urban landscapes and packed concert halls. From the emptiness of sterile airports, barren streets, and lonely dinners to the intense energy of their live performances, the film creates a surreal environment at once hyper-real and thoroughly impressionistic

I’m seeing them the day before Valentine’s Day this year
I just spent half an hour, which felt like a full hour, watching Jamie and Alison do....nothing. And I loved it. They're such charismatic interesting human beings....with an equally fascinating relationship. Pretty inspiring people. They're effortlessly cool....like genuinely cool....but also just weirdo normal people. And their music somehow perfectly reflects who they are as people...down to the guitar tone. In a weird way....this video kinda put me in a good mood just realizing there are other people out there...living vastly different lives to my own. I'm an introvert, and quite happy about it, but also...these past 2 pandemic years have really taken a toll on whatever social life I did have. My life is good...but also feels like every single day is exactly the same. I am in a RUT basically. And it's good to remember you can literally be and do whatever the hell you want.....
I love when he eats some of the biscuits and then hides the packet among the rest.
Love these two so very much. This is hitting my lust for live gigs and being in Europe big time. Can't wait to see them live again.
Been waiting a long time to watch this 🥳
bit of a bummer that the live performances arent in this, but only the live footage to the studio versions
Thank you. I miss you
Amazing! Thanks a lot for uploading.
they are amazing on stage... and off stage too!!
Thank you so much @Red Meat Heart I love you!
It’s quite prophetic watching this great short film in these times strangely.
Thank you for uploading this :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! This is such a gem!
I just discovered this (thank you), and I love it! It's just our favorite rock duo living their rock lives.
Gloriously understated and stylish cinemaphotography. Viva la Kills! 🤍☠🤍
BRAVO! Loved the ‘alive’ camera, loved the sound choices. Wonderful. Thanks, this was a great way to start my day.
Adore The Kills! Thanks for this melancholic road movie. It reminds me Wenders era a little bit )
one of music's best.
oh my god I love this ... you are soooo .... the best ! goosebumps hearing the guitar and your voice !!! I wish one day I could photograph you you re sooo charismatic and pure rock xxx stay safe ! saw you once at Rock en Seine .... not enough !!!
great editting. once again. I remember when i spent my days or nights from hungover to the next.. typewriting in between, back then in gotham, everything was different and everything was the same. i dont miss that, but i do miss a gig of yours.
I rewatched Future Starts Slow just about 10 minutes ago and thought "Wow, this video is a bit too prophetic with how the world works right now!", and, voila, this one recommended to me as well. We'll wait for any news from you guys.

Great movie about a day in the life of... Love those peeps... Hope to meet them one day...
brilliant!!
I can't believe it is from 2011, the first part of the movie has such a pandemic vibe. Empty streets, empty airports, loneliness and boredom.
Вы лучшие !!!!👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥
Nice.
Ive gotten into Blood Pressures this week. I was so out of it in 2011, my worst year was also the worst year for the earth since the fascism war. Pots and Pins is just great! I wish i was into it like when I was into Midnight Boom when it was just come out.
I would love to date her! And Jamie is one of the best musicians today. So is Alison and her art and writing and singing is so beautiful like her! 😊
♥️♥️♥️
Dans un hôtel comme la première fois et comme moi dans l'attente d'une nouvelle vie de liberté. Waiting for you both...
..seen them live in 2016.
Indeed. 😕
11:54 They should put that atthe begining of a record.

Great rock band. They always look tired, and worn out, they need some time off!
