Be advised the film is a true story with elements that might be shocking to some viewers or hit close to home. There are scenes of domestic abuse in which a couple fight, and sequences of child abuse in which a boy is beaten by his mother. There are occasional scenes of alcohol and prescription drug misuse. Moderate sex also features in some scenes which are essential to the storytelling and fit into the greater story of struggle and finding a way out in a seemingly impossible conundrum. As this story is, unfortunately, for a lot of people part of their history or are undergoing mental or physical abuse we chose to have this film on FlickVault in the original way it came out in 2010.
