The important thing to note about the invisible Kellam card is that he is actually on the card, it is just not visible on the scan. But if you own the card in person, there is a visible foiling outline that shows Kellam where we would be on the non+ art. But I loved this, keep up the great work!

Oh my god I found some examples and the foil card version is so so cool! I thought it was weird that the card had dark text on a dark background but it makes sense now. Thanks!

I killed Gaius in my recent Iron Man of Awakening and having Kellam take his place as a thief really made me appreciate him more. This analysis is very interesting as I haven't seen most of these interactions because too many dead characters

As a FE fan I must do this: WHO?!?! Anyways in all seriousness I have a soft spot for Kellam, he was the first non lord FE unit I was introduced to via the GameXplain FE13 video. I may meme on him, because them game memes on him. But I will always love him deep in my heart.

Before I even watch this, my favorite use for kellam is turning him into a thief and he just does not die early game 10/10

He was my fave I always like the shy characters. I usually like the armored knight characters since Benny is my fave in fates.

Benny is the goat. My fav Fates character is Charlotte and her being completely herself around Benny is amazing

I've always found Kellam absurdly interestingly and fascinating as I only ever supported him with Cordelia and their support is oddly amusing and funny?? Like why would Cordelia the perfect girl be interested in a literal invisible who 😭😭The support does lay the groundwork but the proposal is still out of nowhere like half the S-Supports hahaha! I can't even justify why I paired them together. I think I just ran out of people to ship together and just mashed them together randomly at one point. Very funny story as to why Kellam always sticks out to me instead of being forgotten. His other supports are good but that one cemented him as a fun notable character... which makes everyone genuinely forgetting about him like the joke intended really funny but also really depressing... like he's so good... Awakening might not be peak comedy but he's soooo good!! Plus Cordelia literally goes down in history as this perfect woman so like... it's really funny that her husband would dissapear with history. It's like a history meme in the making... Besides that? I think Kellam gets a pretty bad rep gameplay-wise and his class lines seem absolutely stupid from a glance but using him very often across my Awakening playthroughs and specially in higher difficulties I think he's one of the few parent characters with the best skill accessibility in the game. In Lunatic and above enemy bloat and offenses are super bad and there are so many characters that just can't take a hit so having Kellam who can possibly bypass enemies with Pass, while still being able to tank them with Pavise, Renewal and his natural bulk, and even survive them if you get lucky with Miracle?? Like damnn you go boy! It's a very very small niche and one that is obviously born out of favoritism rather than efficiency or anything but he's very unique in that sense! Even without favoritism he's still pretty tanky and having natural access to Luna helps him a lot! ...That and I think he just has the Priest line because of the useless healer jokes 😭😭 Like... being a healer is the most thankless job I imagine and it just exacerbates his non-existence joke like... Damn he's just a floating Heal staff!! LMAOOO It's just a stupid joke just like the Thief line. I'm not explaining myself well but you get the idea!

Honestly the concept Kellam remind me of Louis from Engage, except to make him seem cooler he has nice wavy hair and opens his eyes when things get serious! Also Louis isn’t a noble, he’s a commoner which is rare for Firenese retainers who are all nobles. And if the wiki is right, he’s the eldest brother of 4 boys??? Like I don’t think these parallels are intentional 😭 but he also has a weird quirk of people watching from the sidelines, which is very different but still reminds me of Kellam’s invisibility Also those supports sound great, maybe I should try awakening… as far as a character I’d like to see a video on, hmm… you’ve discussed Ignatz, Raphael, Leonie, Sumia, and Kellam now… maybe someone like Dorothea? I just find her very interesting as a commoner in the academy, and she’s so fascinating when she gets sad about how much she can’t stand the war… besides also being a girlboss and former opera diva. I love her supports with Edelgard, Yuri, and Petra off the top of my head

I always loved Kellam, and I wish he had better endings. I hate how he's forgotten in the in-game history

This popped up on my front page, and was an absolutely delightful Friday watch! Kellam is unironically one of my fave Awakening characters-I have a soft spot for armors, and even though he’s mostly a punchline, he has several genuinely sweet conversations with army members. There’s something to be said for a character who, while not the deepest, makes you smile when he appears. Great video, looking forward to more!

hey one of the Kellam stans here lmao. in my first playthrough I remember pairing him with Olivia bc they're both shy and it was cute but then once I found out that pairing Kellam with female Robin is the ONLY way he gets a good ending I always did that instead. a couple of other things: 1. Kellam's weird armor nipples are even funnier when you consider his village made it for him, either they really didn't really know what they were doing or someone in that village was being weird 2. I figured that Kellam being able to reclass into a priest was because of how he often goes out of his way to help the other Shepherds (sometimes to the point of being self-sacrificing which makes me kinda sad; someone get this man some therapy) 3. the child conversations with their fathers are all pretty much the same but the first time I saw male Morgan talking about how they can't remember their father and then Kellam walked into the room I lost it

Kellam may be forgotten to time and history in most marriages but in a marriage with Robin, history does remember him as someone who loved his wife very much. It’s a technicality considering that’s the go to line for anyone who marries Robin but it still counts.

The emotional support pot part made me laugh LOL. I unfortunately did not use Kellam in Awakening 😅, so I didn’t pair him with anyone. I think you should make a video on Camilla or Hilda! When you brought up Cherche, that made me think of them. I really like the cheeky, yet strong Axe Wyvern ladies in FE lol.

One, I really like Kellam, he gets a bad rep in "efficient" play and generally because his reruitment chapter is hard for him, but he's fun to use and fun in general! Glad someone's making Kellam propaganda. Second, yeah FEH pass is ridiculous but you know what's worse? I paid for 14 months of FEH without playing cause I forgot, so you know, their business model works, they got me!

On the art- there are a couple characters where they’re not quite so on model, particularly in face shape. Ingame ports seem to have like, a major grudge against roundness, Cordelia’s face for example is way way sharper in her talking sprite than her official art

I am this fandom’s number 1 Stahl stan, he is my favorite Awakening man and my gay ass loves a lot of the Awakening men, but I had never seen his and Kellam’s supports. Stahl’s supports also all center around him being a Normal Guy™️ - like Kellam’s mostly revolve around his invisibility - so it’s nice to see the two guys actually talk about how much they admire the other. It’s also cute how Stahl is open about his anxiety on the battlefield. Honestly, you might have opened my eyes to the appeal of Stahl/Kellam as a couple lmao It’s a shame some of the best supports in the game, that reveal most about a character’s personality other than their quirk, are locked behind friendship supports that are relatively easy to miss, while all romantic supports appear to he one note. This also happens with Henry, who’s tragic backstory is only revealed in his supports with Ricken. Also, yes, Henry was raised by wolves. Man’s had a hard life.

I remember the first time I played awakening as a kid I legit skipped over him even though I saw his sprite 😭 now though I make sure to always recruit him to atone for my sins

Wrt the design inconsistency, it's really pervasive all across Awakening lol. I've cosplayed and illustrated a bunch of the characters for a long time and like, tiny little details like that are always shifting. Some standouts are Olivia (check out her belt) and Sumia (wtf even is her hair color) off the top of my head. The design inconsistencies are especially noticable in the S Support CGs...also, not sure if this affects this, but iirc while Yusuke Kozaki was the main artist, there was another artist that designed a lot of the basic unit designs.

I believe Halloween Kellam was a Tempest Trials reward. So he was technically “free”. Typically less popular characters are put there.

It’s alright not to like the f2p model, but I just want to clarify that f2p players aren’t onesidedly benefiting from whale players. Without f2p players, those games would similarly shut down even if they were still earning money, because it would mean essentially that the game coudlnt cultivate a large accessible audience. You need players with less for whale players to feel like their investments are worth it. But to clarify I’m not implying you were saying it’s one sided, just want to add some perspective that it’s not like parasitic
