You're getting warmer. We are Spirit, first and foremost, that dons or takes a garment that we call "Soul". This permits us to navigate in thicker ethereal matter or the lower worlds of Creation. In order to incarnate in Gross Matter, i.e. the earth plane, we must then acquire a physical body. In reverse, death is the discarding of the physical body first, ( like taking off a winter coat ). The soul remains, until ( if we strive for it ), we are about to enter Paradise, our real home (heaven) call it whatever you wish. At a certain moment the soul is also discarded, and a Free, Pure, Redeemed Spirit enters Paradise. The fully matured individual Spirit ( entity ) has completed its journey.

@@bobhope5114 Well, there are some scientist who claim, that our consciousness is just an illusion, a byproduct of many brain processess running simultaneously. A byproduct that consumes a lot of energy, and in reality our species would maybe even be better off without it, as our unconscious instincts and reflexes are just way to faster and efficient then that thing that we call "free will". Maybe our consciousness is just a dead end of evolution, an error of mother nature, which she hasn't fixed. At least for now.

Let's expand on the interpretation of Tzimtzum, a concept in Kabbalah, in English, Greek, and Latin. English: Tzimtzum, in the context of Kabbalah, refers to the concept of divine contraction or concealment. It is the notion that in order for the created world to exist, God, who is infinite and all-encompassing, had to contract or limit His divine presence. This contraction created a space or void within which the created universe could come into being. Tzimtzum is seen as a necessary step in the process of creation, allowing for the existence of a separate reality while maintaining the connection to the divine source. Greek: In Greek, the term for Tzimtzum can be translated as "σύσταση" (sýstasi). It represents the idea of divine withdrawal or contraction, the act of the infinite divine essence drawing back in order to make space for the finite created realm. This withdrawal is seen as a necessary action to enable the existence of the physical world and the separation between the divine and the material. Latin: In Latin, the concept of Tzimtzum can be expressed as "contractio divina." This refers to the divine contraction or contraction of God's essence. The idea is that God, being infinite and all-encompassing, contracts or withdraws in order to create space for the manifestation of the created universe. This divine contraction is considered essential for the establishment of a separate realm of existence while maintaining a connection to the divine source. These interpretations in English, Greek, and Latin aim to capture the essence of the concept of Tzimtzum and its significance in Kabbalistic thought.

As a former finance professional who turned to music as an artist, producer, and composer, I have personally experienced everything you mentioned, Rabbi. I have felt deep emotions of sadness and frustration, but also joy and great motivation to keep pursuing my artistic vision. Over the past few years, I have lost faith in myself and in my calling at various points. However, I have been fortunate enough to have some unexpected opportunities (sometimes miraculously) come my way, allowing me to fully devote myself to being the artist I am today. So I wrote a song in Spanish that captures part of this journey of self-discovery, and if you have time to read, I have translated it for you (unfortunately the rhymes are lost in translation from Spanish): "Heaven Grants me a Sign" Author: Simon Jano "Without knowing, I approached an abyss in a way that made me lose all faith And as I fell, I remembered that after dying, I would be born again And I painted war on my face I have given and cried out my sorrows Hoping for the sunlight to shine through again And Heaven grants me a sign Heaven gives me a star Heaven grants me Heaven gives me the strength of consciousness that is eternal Heaven grants me a sign It's my soul that is a star and begins to shine (4X) This time, you left me by a river's shore after I felt thirsty And upon drinking, I woke up and you showed me that Life is beautiful And I looked in the moonlight A Path that never stops A Trail that leads to Eternity And Heaven grants me a sign Heaven gives me a star Heaven grants me a sign Heaven gives me a star Heaven grants me Heaven gives me the strength of consciousness that is eternal Heaven grants me a sign It's my soul that is a star That begins to shine (4X) This time, I gave my yearnings to the fire waiting for the dawn And as I became silent, I understood that the crickets give me the peace I'm seeking" kzread.info/dash/bejne/eYF8tMGAmravZ7Q.html --------------------- Hope you know what I mean Rabbi.... and from soul to soul: thank you very much for your enlightening teachings. - Simon ✌ Some additional suggestions:

"The soul is the grand cosmic composer's intention for why you were placed here." Thank you Rabbi Jacobson. Here is an excerpt from the writings of Marshall Vian Summers which refers to Knowledge as the deeper mind within us that holds our purpose. "You are here for a greater purpose than you have imagined, for your imagination does not contain the meaning of your purpose in life... You are here to live a greater life than you have yet realized, and this greatness is what you carry within you. It may be expressed in the simplest of lifestyles and in the simplest of activities... begin to discern greatness from smallness and how smallness can serve greatness. This will integrate every aspect of yourself, for part of you is great and part of you is small. Your personal mind and your physical body are small and are meant to serve the greatness of Knowledge... There is no inequality here, for everything is working together to serve a greater purpose,,, [Your] life in this world is more important than [you] had realized before." With the Soul in charge, i.e."with Knowledge, you will know what to do." It has the cosmic composer's intention behind it. (MVS, Steps to Knowledge)

Rabbi, this message is so poignant to me. Timely! On Saturday I visited a close friend from school days. He was always so full of life and energy, and successful in his business. His body took a downward turn since late last year and on Saturday when I visited him the changes were devastating. We talked of school days etc and the paths of our lives. After 2 hours I returned home. On stepping through my door, a blanket of heaviness overwhelmed my body. I cried uncontrollably for almost an hour. I felt so helpless! It is the same feeling I experienced on the death of my mother last year. And I am 70 years! I couldn't comprehend the feeling, but Psalm 139 was my comfort. You have now put things in perspective.

@@jeyam2365I have yet to watch the video, I am reading some of the comments first. I was impelled to reply to your question with... SPIRIT & SOUL By spirit I mean the single, great, and eternal mystery that permeates and animates everything in the universe and yet transcends all. By soul I mean the vital, mysterious, and wild core of our individual selves, an essence unique to each person, qualities found in layers of the self-much deeper than our personalities. Soul is what is most wild and natural within us. Spirit is simultaneously that which infuses all and everything… the land, the air, the animals, all peoples, our human creations, our own bodies and selves. Soul embraces and calls us toward what is most unique in us. Spirit encompasses and draws us toward what is most universal and shared. A holistic approach to spirituality interweaves the accent and the descent, rendering balance to the experience of both the upper world and the underworld. Peace 🖤 Blessings!

Thanks for this video. Whenever I have sat with the dying, and noticed the moment when ‘life’ ends, I felt the departure of the soul from the body. The body becomes stony and cold. The ‘person’ you loved, that responded to your love, is gone, they have moved on. I have been told that the feeling of liberation from the body is something like taking off a pair of tight shoes at the end of the day, As I have come to understand ‘soul’ through my work with the departed; it is a response, a relationship between the undying spirit and the physical body. We die and are reborn in a cycle, coming into physical bodies to collect and be transformed by, experience’s unique to this dimension.

Thank you as always. I recently, this past year, became different physically. I cannot walk the way I used to be able to due to an aging issue. This has affected me more than I would have wished because I loved to walk so much. I have let this change affect my peace of mind. Hearing how our soul is so much more important than our physical circumstances reminds me that it is time to let this somewhat self pitying attitude go. I am fortunate that I can still walk, just slower and not as well. I still have mobility and many do not. The flame of my purpose is the answer to all our questions. Everything else pales beside it. Gratitude expands that purpose. You reminded me of what is important and whole, no matter what happens, as you always do. Bless you.

I as a Catholic have recently been really watched videos from Rabbis, most particularly Rabbi Jacobson and Rabbi Friedman. I am absolutely astounded by the wise words being said, I may even be considering changing religions.

Am Catholic too. Watch Rabbis for years, unfortunately alot of wisdom is not present in the Christian Church teachings. Rabbis are not concerned with religion but hiw to really connect to YHWH, God as we are in this world as a human being.

I've been alive forever, and I wrote the very first song. I put the words and the melodies together, I am music, and I write the songs. I write the songs that make the whole world sing, I write the songs of love and special things. My home lies deep within you, and I've got my own place in your soul. Now, when I look out through your eyes, I am young again, even though I'm very old. I write the songs that make the whole world sing, Oh, my music makes you dance, It's from me, it's for you, it's for you, it's from me, it's a worldwide symphony. I am music, and I write the songs. ~Barry Manilow What makes you tick? Fire in my heart, the same light and fire that lights the world.

Greetings Rabbi💫💜🌌 Peace be upon you in Christs Consciousness.🙏🕊 I shone so bright as a child with many gifts and talents that came effortlessly ... with it came the jealousy and envy of the ones I loved so I purposefully dimmed my light over time and put attention on others as a way of keeping the peace. Thank you for this video🙏. It's a powerful perspective.😍

Excellent video, Rabbi. One of your best. It's vitally important to understand that each one of us has an individual existence and identity in this world. And that you have a divine soul within you that longs for expression. Nothing that happens in this world can change that. Listen to your inner voice, trust it and go for it! If you can trust just a little bit and start with a few small actions, you might just be amazed at the momentum you create. It may also change what you believe about yourself and what you're capable of.
