Always been there , started in 1925, and to be heard on the danish radio broadcasting on Thursdays in the weekly Torsdagskoncert at 8.00 am. Check up your tuner or the internetradio search for Danish Radio, P2 and Dab +if available in your region.

I love that many musicians in the orchestra are smiling.

aside the orchestras usual brilliance - can we take a moment to appreciate the postproductions brilliance in video and sound-editing of this video? absolute pros!!

The orchestra was obviously having fun performing this piece. Great job as usual.

Spectacular singing, you can really see the positive energy fill the room, they all have smiles on their faces.

When I thought back to my childhood, I looked for this movie again and watched it. Although my thoughts in my childhood are different from my thoughts now that I am over 20 years old, I still feel the feeling of this movie. Now I found this entertainment while searching for background music.

Eh, no he actually doesn't. His voice isn't deep/rich enough. He can't reach the lowest notes.

The first part -intro in the jungle-, is really special and the best part. They recreate exactly the jungle book theme. Perfect!

Can we make a wish for 2024 and get uploads in 2160p? Even 1080p will look better then due to how KZread automatically transcodes footage.

It already is in 1080p. You must have selected the wrong resolution

When a video is uploaded to KZread it gets automatically processed and transcoded, even if the uploaded video has compatible video codec specifications and could be theoretically used directly by KZread to be delivered to the viewers. This means that if a 1080p video is uploaded in the best-case scenario you get a lossy copy of a lossy copy of the original video. Even if the resolution remains unchanged the visible image quality suffers, especially in dark dimly/atmospherically lit videos. KZread processes 2160p videos a bit differently and if KZread itself creates the 1080p version of a 2160p video upload the quality is significantly better compared to a native 1080p upload. TLDR: So even if you don’t “need” 2160p video you would also benefit from increased visual image quality.

there is not 4K broadcast tv in denmark, and these videos are primarily made for broadcast

Sorry to hear that (the situation is the same in Germany). In that case even upscaling the native final 1080p cut of the video to 2160p using state-of-the-art “AI” upscaling software prior to uploading it to KZread would still offer a significant visual image quality boost while not interfering with the established video production chain.

She sings the part of Mowgli - isn’t that pretty obvious?

Far be it from me to be overly critical of heartfelt performances, but this arrangement of the Overture makes this sound like it was written for a regional 50's TV-Show instead of a Disney movie. Tacky is what I would call it. The original did not sound tacky in my memory.

The singer is terrible with kids, poor girl tried her best to dance and make it joyful, but this man is not a nut you can crack. She si nags with relief in the end. The man couldn’t care less. The orchestra is amazing ❤️
