Because many tourists from the USA visit Jamaica, the US always put out precautionary advice to their residents planning to visit. Of the 4.5 million visitors to Jamaica in 2023, 70% came from the USA. There are worst places in the world but you don’t hear of them, but because of its popularity the media always try to portray Jamaica in a negative way. This does not deter the tourists and other visitors who constantly come to see for themselves!

Jamaica has natural beauty everywhere… God breathed on that little piece of land. What makes Jamaica stand out is the diversity of the landscape-there are hills and valleys... rivers, waterfalls, and green trees everywhere. I’ve been to the Bahamas (Freeport, Grand Bahamas) twice… no offense, I love my Bahamian peeps (I also have relatives there), but I was bored because it is so flat… no hills. I also didn’t see any waterfalls or rivers.

Jamaica is the playground for the rich and famous and also for the have less and ordinary ppl wh save hard for a good vacation/honeymoon in the sun. So Jamaicans go to USA to make it big and then come back home to live like kings/monarchs in their country too. Smile Jamaica 🇯🇲🥰😊 that's one way to look at it. Ms Trudy enjoy Jamaica

They also know the poverty just like every Island, and the bad government who stole from the country. @rahyeme100, I don't care how beautiful a place is, if it has a government that doesn't care about the people to the extent that it allows developers to practice apartheid (Black Jamaican citizens are denied access to many beaches that White tourists can access), and it has the second highest murder rate in the world, I could not be happy there. I almost came to tears watching an elderly Jamaican fisherman lamenting the fact that he has to leave his house at 4 a.m. to pedal his bicycle to a beach many miles from his home to fish (something his father and grandfather did), because a developer blocked access to the beach his family normally accessed to conduct their fishing business. Developers don't want Black Jamaicans around the tourists. Bob Marley said, "Get Up, Stand Up. Stand up for your rights." Stop spending time online boasting about nonsense and stand up for your rights.
