Leif is an incredible performer. I saw him a couple of months ago, and was blown away. He definitely has the spirit of a poet. I see from this he is also very humble. Why he is not more famous is beyond me.

I'm revisiting this interview because as Leif's avid fan, it was a really impressive interview and I liked q on cbc's questions and the way you drew Leif's thoughts of making music. I am an overseas fan from Seoul(if you know where the city is) and I'm dreaming of the day when Leif Vollebekk comes to my country and throws a great gig!

I agree. I picked up a nasty vibe from that interviewer. Calling Leif a ‘Ham and Egger’ was such a mean little quip. IfLeif is a Ham and Egger the rest of us are cheap chips!

This cheers me up because I love doing covers & getting to know them & then reinterpreting them & it HAS helped me learn the keys & chords & rhythms I tend to like and that move me. Also love “sad” songs because a true song that expresses feeling authentically is never sad...it’s a relief to hear someone else express pain & that makes us all feel less alone...it’s kinda mysterious & I love it
