Wenger supported so many bad players. I wish he supported Arshavin more. Man, I loved that guy at Arsenal. When he hit the pitch he was doing something which made opponents afraid of him despite being the smallest of the entire squad.

I remember watching the Euro 2008 when Arshavin shined, and Wenger was an analyst back then and he said: he is good at this game, but I don't think he is good enough for a big team or big league, not long after, he signed him :D

Burned very brightly albeit only for a few moments.... Streets won't forget the man
just one of those players the streets will never forget. i personally loved him as im an arsenal fan
Man, all these years I finally understood why he was always labeled "lazy". He wasn't lazy, I just felt that he has been through a lot and felt he has achieved more than he could ever dreamed of.

He was unhappy in the left wing.
Arsenal turned to Anfield with Arshavin and a goalkeeper. As a Liverpool fan I cried, but what a performance, he was 10 men that day.
That Euros match Russia Vs Holland, the way he had Van Der Sar’s soul leaving his body all match long.
I am a Manchester united fan and I love him so much. He was Arsenal's version of the Baby faced Assassin
As a Man Utd fan myself, I have so much respect for him.
Dear author. A little mistake. in match VS Netherlands Arshavin assisted the second goal to Torbinskiy and scored the third.
From Russia with love ❤️ that 4-4 game with Liverpool 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Arshavin's quote about expectations is more elegant and concise. The question was provocative, like why didn't the team live up to them? His response was short and blunt: *Your expectation is your problem* [not someone else's] An instant classic. Really, in Russia we do use here and there, in an ironic fashion (or not)
As a Chelsea fan, I acknowledge Arshavin as one of the best players to ever touch the ball.

I cannot forget the match. I was a high school student and liverpool's fan. The game went on, I was rooting for arsenal because of Arshavin. He was so attractive player even though he was opponent team.
He was phenomenal. One of my favourites.
Just recently learned about this dude. Man if he had even more support and minutes, he would go down as one of the best for sure
His play style was unique. He was something unique special.

He came he conquered and then he just disappeared lol but the short time he was around he tore things up that's for sure

Arshavin strives as free agent on the field, who can appear in any place. But Wenger assigned him to the left wing. Arshavin did not like that and the EPL was too fast of a pace for him. He needed to play right behind frontline from the center. He probably just lost his battle against the manager.
He was utterly amazing on his day, a little genius and one of my favourites ever (I really wanted to see him at Barcelona, he had the style!)

Good video. But surely you had to cover his goal at the Emirates against Pep’s barca, that was a big moment in his career
Keep up the content bro. Wanted to know about Matt Le Tissier.
You are doing an amazing job Portuguese guy!
A few errors here. Youth club was Smena, best one in St. Petersburg for decades, likes of which produced Oleg Salenko. Final against was 2-0 so Arshavin wasn’t the lone assist man. And he went to Kuban Krasnodar, not FC Krasnodar which has been involved in European competition the last few years. Kuban were on their way down and got relegated that season and haven’t been in top flight ever since. Wenger’s biggest knock against him by many is the misuse or no use of Arshavin. It’s criminal that he wasn’t able to win the league with him. Easily Russia’s best player of the 21st century (doesn’t say much), and I think the 2nd best, after Shevchenko, from all the former USSR republics.
This dude was so electric but very short-lived at Asernal. What an amazing player.
favorite player of all time
As an Arsenal fan, I fucking adored him. He was absolute magic to watch.
He was a magician on the pitch, had so much charisma and is a true legend
When I was younger, I used to always hire him for my clubs in FM08 because he had 20 in flair and I thought that was broken or something lol. I started to root for him ever since.
Wenger insisting to play him on the left, when he is no 10 Ozil also sometimes forced to play on the left Yes, rosicky too.
Another great vid you and raymar kill these videos !!! Team up sometime !!!
One of the greatest player of our time...yes he is an assasin
my goat 🇷🇺❤️ thanks for making this vid
If Arshavin was ever at Chelsea or Liverpool he would be an all time premier league great, class player!!
I remember one his statement, it was something financially thing for forren players and probably after he loses his confidence the money motivation also didn't help. Something he didn't know when he was arriving at Arsenal.
The way he was a menace, out of nowhere
Actually, the score in 2008 UEFA Cup final against Rangers was 2-0. Zyrianov scored the second goal right before the final whistle
When he was at zenit when they won the uefa cup Vs rangers.. that season he was amazing different class
At 16 mil he was our most expensive signing back then. The market has inflated quite ludicrously
Great video as always! If you can do a video on Ivan zamorano or Marcelo Salas or chilavert that would be great!!

Great video! But I have to do a correction he didnt score 2 in overtime against netherlands 2:1 torbinsky 3:1 arshavin ❤

As a sweed I remember folowing my team at the 2008 euros and the tounament when pretty well, beaten Grece and nearly played a draw aginst Spain. We thoungt just beat Russia and were throu, It cant be that hard. And then Aljavin came in to play and we were shread to peices. Not a nice momory.
Appreciated. Please do Abou Diaby.
My childhood hero
Arshavin was beast
Another good day again
“Sorry I only score 4 goals” is crazy quote
I miss this Arshavin and Arsenal
The best
I met arshavin in the youth Russia team and was wowed. When I saw arsenal get arshavin I was so pissed Chelsea didn't grab him
The game against the dutch stands out its like he just had double the fitness of his opponents. Extra time they dropped down a gear be he instead found a new one! 🤫
I remember that game against Liverpool when he scored 4 goals! That was a brilliant game especially for a neutral (But I’m a Liverpool fan)...........he’s the only player to score more than 3 let alone 4 goals against the mighty reds! (It’s a shame that he didn’t go on to do even more great things at Highbury with the Gunners.........but that’s football for you! (But at least he will always be remembered for those 4 goals that no-one has beaten since & probably won’t ever👍🏾⚽️

I'd say Haaland might score more potentially. He's crazy.
i dont know if it was wenger or even just in my head but arsenal more than any other club seem to have and have had players who just look and play like real footballers with perfect technique and balance, henry pires bergkamp arshavin cesc wilshere van persie cazorla all so good to watch even anelka in his prime seemed like the perfect striker, pace acceleration and simple finishing is unstoppable at times, when players lose that initial yard of acceleration they are half as dangerous i think thats what happened to torres he seemed to just lose that yard that made all the difference to get his shot away as soon as he joined chelsea
Seeing as he has died young girls ven age standards, have you done or do you plan to do a Reyes video?
He plays more aggressive and creative in midfield, but at Arsenal he is given a wing position
John was probably the biggest chad of a fan to help out and drop $1.2 million of his own money for a football player…
i had hoped you would show his goal against barca
Ah you forget to mention his goal against Barcelona in a 2-1 win
Once again there's a parralel story in hockey. The Quebec nordiques Snatch the 3 Stastny brothers from Czechoslovakia...the story would make a good espionage movie with drama(1 is left behind),car chase with the kgb,etc
Do one on yossi benyon
Even in 2022 Arsenal struggle with that fax machine. You’d think they buy a new fax machine since in Jan they signed nobody at all
Hey love your videos. Have you done one on Yossi Benayoun?
