The INSANE Health Benefits of Eating SAUERKRAUT Every Day! | Dr. Steven Gundry

Ойын-сауық

You've heard me rave about the incredible health benefits of fermented foods, but let's zoom in on sauerkraut in particular! --- Check out my latest book “Gut Check” here: www.amazon.com/Gut-Check-Micr...
In this episode, we'll delve into the fascinating fermentation process, its knack for neutralizing lectins, and the plethora of health perks it can offer you.
While we're on the subject, I'm also discussing kimchi! Originating from Korea and cherished for centuries, kimchi boasts a medley of fermented veggies like cabbage, radish, scallions, or cucumber. Not only is it mouthwateringly delicious, but it's also a boon for gut health.
Discover how these fermented marvels can supercharge your immune system, enhance skin radiance, and promote metabolic well-being. And of course, I'll spill the beans on how to sidestep bloating and gas once you embark on your fermented foods journey. Tune in for all the details!

Sometimes I simmer it with onions and olive oil. It tasted delicious! Am I killing its benefits? Plus, I tried to ferment cabbage with water and salt and after a few days it smelled like ammonia or something like that. I threw it away. Did I have to throw it away?

When he states that if you have not eaten fermented foods before, start slowly. Or, he says, it can change the frequency of your bowel movement. In this video he says it's safe to eat fermented foods because they remove the Lectins, and then another video he says you can't eat sourdough bread, which is fermented, because it still has lectins. I'd be careful with some of the information he puts out. I almost went to the hospital due to shortness of breath, low blood pressure, and fainting spells because I consumed too much olive oil due to his teachings.
