Pls, how did you get into the habit of reading? And what have you gained from it? I really want to to read but I find it difficult

I think it takes the right book to hook you in and also the format. I got into reading with the Harry Potter and Throne of glass series (aka mindblowing fantasy). Mystery/thrillers are also good to get you hooked. Romance to keep you going- similar stories, you know what to expect each time, happy endings etc. in terms of format- physical books are great but not for everyone. I find it read quicker digitally (kindle or on my phone/tablet). Also audiobooks are good as you can do things and have it on in the background. What i gained from it... i guess a bunch of new experiences that i never yet experienced/never would have in real life. From relationship/friendship drama, advise and feelings to how to get away with murder 😂 and different perspectives on situations. Ie break up = heartbreak or break up = redirection. Anyway i dont think i am explaining this right, but hope that made some sense x
